i just went to the new crappy tire at Leslie/Sheppard today (it's where the IKEA used to be) and it is HUGE!!! It's bigger than any one that i've been to...with two floors. They definitely have a greater selection compared to some of the other ones i go to. I just bought the air compressor that Oyster mentioned that was on sale (couldn't miss that deal ;) ). There were quite a few bimmer drivers there...i tagged two cars...i couldn't wait for the owners to come out :)
You tagger you! I got to go there later. I just brought a car cover and it's too big.

now I need my torque wrench and a jack and I'm good to go for tire changes.

yeah love it, especially since the underground parking is always available.
Ikea is further back the road, not replaced.

there are some that made specifically for lower cars... check the jack height... the regular ones from CT won't go under my car...

Once I bought a regular trolley jack from crappy tire but Regin8r told me it's too high for E46 so I didn't even open the box and returned it and got the Michelin jack instead. The Michelin jack works perfectly.
When I got it it was on sale for like $30. That was just 2 weeks ago.

That's the lo-jack right that BlueSky is talking about?

no the lo-jack has a low jacking point.. lol
eg. the aluminum one by Michelin (regular price $299, sale price $199 2 weeks ago)
otherwise you might need to put your car on blocks before u can jack it up...

hey chopper...when i went to crappy tire that day...one entire part of the parking lot was covered in bird poop!!! I was actually thinking about your bird incident when i painfully drove by all the poop!! I couldn't believe it...it was like a war field full of bird poop all over the cement!!
I didn't know they had an underground lot...maybe i'll use that next time so i make sure that i won't get pooped on ;)

You must be talking about this one

Holy crap, it's expensive. I suppose you need it if your car is lowered?!

are you talking about the blue michelin jack? that thing is still pretty high off the ground. It wont go under my car.
I just use the motomaster 30 dollar jack... drive the car up on blocks and jack up the car. Either way im gonna have to drive the car up on blocks and im not spending an extra 170 on a low profile jack that wont fit..
I saw a pretty nice low profile race jack at costco a while back. Came with jack stands too..

I got an aluminum racing jack from Costco last year that cost me around 200 tax in ... it looks like the aluminum michellin one but it's all silver. They probably just re-brand it ... it works excellent imho.
btw what air compressor did you get dieselgrl ??

very cool Di, buying an air compressor! wow, I am impressed...so what do you plan to do with the compressor???
btw, I bought the Michelin aluminum jack on sale for $199. It is a beautiful jack that you wouldn't mind showing off. It gets under my lowered car with no problems. I also have an old 1.5 ton steel jack that did the trick for $39, but this jack rules!

well...the one i bought was the air compressor that oyster suggested a week ago with the tire gauge...it's a small one so i can set my tire pressure at home. but apparently i have a 25 gallon air compressor in the garage that i intend to make use of next year...I'd like to buy an impact gun and jacks so i could change my tires. do you have 2 jacks? or 4? to prop up your vehicle. do you have a pic of the michelin aluminum jack that's on sale? i guess i can check it out on the cdn tire website.

i just got a 275psi 12 volt air compressor...to put in my car in case i want to pump my tires. but i have a 25 gallon one in the garage...i can't wait to use that.

to change tires, you really don't need jack stands as you aren't lifting the car that long and you won't be getting underneath it. The aluminum jack isn't on sale anymore, but I guess you can watch for it like I did to go back on...
if you are going to be working underneath the car, then yes you need jack stands...

costco has a $95 deal for solid x2 jack stands and jack.
Yeah, 2 weeks ago I picked up a hydrolic Michelin lift from Crappy Tire... for only $35... although I saw a deal slightly better... it was a Crappy tire's cheapo version a lift with two stands for $35.00... can't comment on quality.. but it's a pretty good deal..
