Anyone interested in meeting up in Montreal over this weekend? I'll be there for the weekend...will be flying in for work on either thursday or friday. I believe CarbonM3 will be staying in montreal that weekend as well. We can do all the things that we originally planned for in the Nov 26/27 weekend. I am flying in thursday night with carbonM3. oyster is going by train either thursday or friday since he has friday off....glenspeed is renting an SUV and is probably going with his family. M007...you should go with glenspeed in the same rental car and split the cost.

we will meet up once everyone arrives...we'll exchange cell phone #'s. Over the next couple of weeks, we can plan out our itinerary.

I think you can rent a Blazer at Enterprise. They run out fast on weekends, as I found out to my and my family's near peril!!!

Budget usually has good rates on Explorers. That's where I rented a Limited all winter last year!

Hertz rents premium cars, so when I can get them delivered to the Yonge/Sheppard location I get a Volvo XC70, but they have S70's, Jag S Types, Lincoln LS, etc.

Just want to share that today (Tue) was NOT a good day for travel to Montreal. Left my place at 8am and just returned at Midnight. Oh My God :mad:

10am AC flight got delayed till 11am and I just arrived in time for my one o'clock meeting. The return 7pm flight - spent 3 hours inside the plane !!! Snow, slush and freezing rain hit Montreal during the rush hour and we spent most of the time on the plane in a long lineup waiting for a deicing station. Took off shortly after 10:10pm.
And for the first 2 hours waiting on the plane they did not even want to serve WATER (to prevent lavatory use) but eventually they broke down and came around with water :eek:

Of course I had to check whats happening on the board today before shutting down for the day :D

Not that fun trying to negotiate the steep hills here without any weight in the back...got stuck a few times while all the pesky little front wheel drivers wizzed by me...not so bad if I had someone to push, but not that great at 1am in the morning by yourself!

Friday night was simply awesome...first we met up for dinner in Little Italy and then we headed over to Tokyo nightclub. thanks for coming out M007, oyster, glenspeed & carbonM3...clubbin was fun, but heading over to Just Noodles afterwards was unforgettable ;) ...sorry i couldn't join you guys at Jet on saturday....I was so tired from clubbin two nights in a row (Thurs & Fri). Hope you guys had fun...

Glen...first of all thanks for the lift in the M...the drifting was lots of fun...probably caused oyster to look in his rear view and pinch a loaf...now for the tale of my walk home that night..

First of all, thanks to Gary's friend Tony for inviting us to his restaurant...sorry i didnt eat anything...u saw me. Anyways, I like to walk home after a night of beverages...so Oyster gerously donated a large bottle of water for the journey back the hotel...5 km and it was snowing hard!!! (you guys all saw the pics of glen's ride...that was the aftermath). So, I basically jumped out of my chair at the restaurant to walk home b/c everyone was talking about a cab and i wanted no part of it. so my friend brett chased me down. he cought up with me and tried to convince me to get in a cab...i said no. all of a sudden we realized we were in the middle of a snowball fight (we are talking 50 plus people on opposing street corners, mos tof whom are hammered cuz it was 330 and everyone just came out of the clubs). i used that as a distraction and slipped away from brett. the next people i happened across were some street kids. i said i had no money. they said they like my burberry jacket, and that all they wanted was for me to take a turn at wailing on their bongos...so i did and it was fun. next thing i know as we were strolling down the street some guy gets in my face. this was the only part of the night that i do not remember what happened...but soon after he yelled at me the next thing i realize is that i am running down the street with 2 guys chasing me and a thrid guy getting up off the ground to join in the foot chase. thank god i have been running for a few months now because if they caught me it would not have been pretty. so the cahse lasted 2 blocks and they gave up..it was then that i realized my hand was bleeding....oops, wonder how that happened. next 2 guys came up to me as i was checking out my hand....they asked what happened...i said i didnt know, but i told them about the chase. they started laughing and whatever, next thing i know one of the guys says something about being able to speak chinese so i bust out some cantonese...oh yeah!!! anyways, he tries to throw some korean my way...i called him on it and we laughed some more. after i split form those guys i came across some kids who were high making snow angels. they asked me to joint them but i said no cuz i didnt want to get wet. i walked with them a bit, then split. the final person that i happened across was a lady of the night. it was weird. i was near an intersection and she comes up beside me and says...you need a woman for the night? i said no and ran....finally making it back to the hotel. all that running, no wonder they call me white lightning!!!

I had a great time with you guys too. I drank alot and I almost loose myself when we got to Just noodles. Lucky you got me running outside otherwise I might even bomb in the restaurant. Somehow I remember everybody said they weren't hungry but 1 plate of noodle and 2 plates of chicken wings were finished. I only had 1 wings I think.
Anyway, thanks for everyone been there and I had a great time. Amodeus (Frank) bought us a bottle of Vodka at Jets night club. Nice to meet you Frank.

btw, for the people that were in Montreal....remember that place I suggested we go Wunderbar at the W hotel? My sister in-law had a girlfriend that was working there opening night and all I can say is wish I was there....

it was definitely a great time...sean, i can't believe your story...i think the funniest moment is when you said there were people getting high that night during the walk and making snow angels!!! I can't get over that :yak: Asmodeus...sorry i missed you at the club...came by to meet you, but couldn't wait in the long line-up to get in. Plus, i was really tired from two nights of clubbin in a row (thurs & fri)....I'll meet you next time! I love clubbin in montreal...nothin like it!!! It beats the Toronto clubs for sure! I had my fair share of stories on that trip!! Most embarrassing moment: being frisked in all the places possible and having to unbutton my jeans at the montreal airport...the female security guard even had to look behind my jean buttons...man, i felt violated.... :crying: :blaaaa: ...and all the male security guards just HAD to watch...how bad is that :p

di u forgot to mention the show we put on when dancing on the bar the first night out!!!!!hahahaha :devil:
