I like sushi lum. Can anyone recommend a good sushi buffet place to get fat at?
I know a couple but parking would never acoomodate neither would the size of he restaurant should we end up having a huge turnout...
Maybe... 1 late this week or sometime next week before the Holiday Meet.

I say buffet cause I love to eat. yummy. But best value for money. Bro, I might have forgotten to mention affordable sushi... money spent in Yorkville should be money spent on mods. Let's keep the suggestions coming though. We'll keep it in mind Kerisabe. Thanks.

don't know of any good buffet sushi's or any good buffets for that matter, but there is a decent Japanese restaurant that is really cheap right in the same mall where we had the dessert and coffee last 2 dim sum meets...I eat quite alot of sushi and it's by far the cheapest for good quality I have had.

I used to go there too. The fact is it appears cheap but the piece of fish on the sushi is paper thin.
Mind you I haven't gone there for a very long time (about 4 or 5 years) so it might have improved.

The best place that I've been to is Famous Japan at 27 and Rexdale Blvd. We were there the night of the club meet a couple of weeks ago. It's 16.95, that includes a small buffet and all you can eat sushi buffet. If you look in the Toronto Sun tv guide there is always a buy one get one at half price coupon. The sushi there is great and the parking lot is huge and very safe for the cars. My wife Cat and myself are in for sure, when do you want to go? :)

What is the name of the place? Because I tried one around the area and it's not that good. It was limited style and choice.
I recommend on #7 and kennedy. Sushi on 7. Or there is one on Sheperd and Moccowan. They both a pretty good. But what really matters to me is the Saki.

sushi on 7 is pretty good...the cost is $19.99 for dinner...but they include tax and tip on your bill so it is around $25. there is parking in the front and back...but that plaza gets packed.

Do you mean Tien Ichi? If you order a la carte it's okay. The all-you-can-eat deal has limited selection.

Famous Japan on Rexdale is the name of the place. We go there often and the selection is great and the sushi is very good.
I was there 5 years ago. Maybe it has changed since then. At that time I believe it just open.

Haruba on McNicoll just west of Kennedy is all you can eat. Sometimes service is a little slow though.
There's one in the plaza on Leslie, just north of 16th. They're pretty fast, usually not too busy.
I think the one on Hwy 7 just west of Kennedy, (plaza before the railroad tracks) has already been mentioned. Very fast service but wasn't too thrilled with the quality/selection.
Lets set a date so we can figure out our schedule. :)

well I think it's a good idea that we try new spots every meet...
we can keep Starbucks, Maxime and Tim horton as our preferred coffee spot

I got free unlimited sushi last night @ Vino bar. It was catered from Yorkville sushi. Was at a business mixer last night.
Yorkville sushi was OK.

Ok. December 10 it is then since on one else has suggested otherwise.
Oyster, take your pick of the sushi restaurant. Take into consideration, cost, quality of food and parking.
There's also a great one here in Scarborough (Midland & Ellesmere) called Niji. I like it.
Thanks Tuan. ;)

Oisi Oyster at Eglinton & Mount Pleasant is pretty good I've heard. And you get free underground parking. Here's a link to their wesite. Not too pricey either.

I guess there isn't a actual date for this meet yet?
Denison / Kennedy - Forget the name... 20 bucks all you can eat japanese restaurant
Bayview just south of 7... also forget the name... same deal.. the fish is fresh at both places, and good variety since it's anything on the menu... both parking lots are big!
