Well folks, I took a nice drive up to RMP and met the guys behind this outfit.
I wanted to get my rear sub-frame and all other suspension components checked ... especially after encountering some severe potholes within the last few months.
I have to admit that all the testimonials are true about these guys.
Rocco and Mark were VERY professional and thorough in the work they did.
Rocco first took the car out for a spin to see how it handled and addressed some of the noises that I was worried about.
He stretched her legs and literally ripped her open like she has never been ripped before.
No pun intended.
Once we came back to the shop, Rocco and Mark checked out all the suspension components including the rear sub-frame and advised me that everything is just fine.
Rocco also discovered that a high-beam bulb was out causing an alert on my dash.
He was proactive and replaced the bulb.
Mark tied up some of my brake lines that were not too secure.
Overall I am a very happy customer.
These guys go above and beyond the customer's expectation.
Rocco and Mark.... Thank you kindly for the great service.
You have just created another loyal customer.
I will be back to get my rear rotors installed.
Cheers

I was there on Friday to do a couple of things. It was my third time going to RMP. Each time I go to RMP, the service and quality of work is professional. Rocco goes through my car as if it was his own. Carefully checking things to make sure everything is in good condition.
I live in North York, the drive to RMP is worth the time and gas.
Rocco, thanks for the fix on the rear creaking noise. The noise is completely gone!

I was at RMP last week for Inspection II. Rocco also helped me install my PSS9's and clean the MAF sensor. I used the Denzo Iridium plugs and reverted back to the OEM paper air filter.
All I can say is "WHOA... Rocco you renewed my car!"
Rocco and Mark worked very efficiently. The car was done after 1.5 hours (~4 hour job) with time to spare for testing and carefully looking over each component. Rocco was more than happy to answer any questions and provided his recommendations on fixes to help me save money overall.
I'll be back for the tie rod and anything else in the future.

Reporting back on my RMP-Inspection II.
Three thumbs up!
Rocco kindly accomodated me by upening up his shop a bit early. The entire service was done in a little less than 1.5 hours.
I liked the fact that Rocco was straight-forward. When I raised questions about doing certain work, he was frank in telling me that it either wasn't needed or could cause more problems. He also told me about work that was needed, that i hadn't anticipated (but that is to be expected in an inspection, and he charged me fair price).
He changed the engine oil, rear diff oil (I think?), fuel filter, plugs and the air filters (cabin filter was nasty!).
I did notice a little more "pep" to the car after the service. Not a huge change, but it was definitely a little more kick off the line (throttle response) and the engine ran very smoothly.
I also had a chance to shoot the breeze with Rocco while he was working. He's a stand-up guy. Smart, too.
Post or PM any questions you may have....

My alternator died two weeks ago just before my NYC trip and I had RMP install a Bosh rebuilt unit (not a refurb, this actually has a 1yr Bosh warranty).
These guys are the best. Great prices, great work and Rocco is a great guy to talk to.
Worth the drive to Bolton but I wish they were closer! I dove up on battery power and lucky my wife was following because the car died a few blocks away from RMP and needed a 5min charge to make it the rest of the way. :)

Another day, another raving review
Just returned from RMP having done my Inspection II with a few other miscellaneous items. It was a 'partial' inspection as I had already done some things myself (air and cabin filters, MAF cleaning) and other service earlier a few weeks ago (brake upgrade, full BMWCC tech inspection, RTABs and alignment).
So basically I went in for:
- valve lash check and adjustment
- spark plugs
- change motor, transmission, and differential oils
- rear SS brake line install
- change fuel filter
- change fuel pump
Turns out the valves were in good shape - only needed one shim (no charge from Rocco woot ). They were done in less than 3 hours, and that included inspecting the sway bars for noise. These guys are efficient!!
The car shifts smoother now (noticed this right away as I go through the SMG gears). So far for BMW's "lifetime" tranny oil - I'll be changing this yearly from now on.
I swapped out the fuel pump in order to track down a stumbling/hesitation issue (http://www.e46toronto.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=8102) I've had for a long time. By all accounts, this should take care of it - fingers crossed.

My airbag light is on AGAIN! I dared to raise and lower my seats a few times. It usually creases the wiring so the light goes on. Maybe Rocco can fix the fuker once and for all....

Did you go for a flush on the tranny oil or just a pan drop?
