Well it's snowing outside my window now and thoughts are back to HT/Audio again :D

Audio or anybody else recommend a good 2ch SACD/CD player for less than $1000

I'm thinking of selling the Sony 9000ES player.... :Idunno:

Good/1000. No such animal.

Shandling has one around a G. These are pretty.

To be honest, audio upgrading is really easy and usually very cheap.

Have fun...

The Shanling CD-S100 MkII looks to be a good 2ch CD player but what to do with the dozen or so SACD's that I have.

The Shanling SCD-T200 looks good but for $3700 Cdn. It better look good.

I was looking at modded Denon or Pioneer units from the US but again depending on the stage of mod 1-2-3. It will cost at least 1300usd +

What happened to Rotel or Cambridge Soundworks?

There is lots of mystique about those little digits.

I remember a session at Angie's place between a full blown dCS system and a a 4G Marantz SACD...no contest...the dCS (20Gs worth) cleaned the Marantz' clock! Good digitial is good digital. There is good and bad in all designs. My original thoughts still stand on the original SCD 1...a monster player, with a fantastic standard CD section, too.

I'm afraid a G for high-end digital these days is just not going to cut it. Even 2nd hand, you are looking about 2-3 Gs for good equipment.

I've got lots of ideas for you, tho, Eric....:D
