No rain in the forcast so far! woot
That being said, I still think I like wet days just as much as dry days. Lots of tail out fun at low speeds and less stress on the tires and brakes.

that's not good news...so what's the status on the M3?
that's not good news...so what's the status on the M3?The M3 is just sitting in my garage. I've been to busy to tow it in for repairs. I think I spun bearing (not uncommon for the S14's). Hopefully the crank, rods, etc are in decent shape. I see S54 and S50B30/32 motors come up for sale...so tempting...

Just finished installing my front StopTechs and Turner CF duct back-plates for Friday. I'm getting old....my back is friggen killing me after that. :)
I also picked up a new helmet last week. Anyone know a decent helmet painter?

A little more info please. Is this prettymuch a tracking event? I see the meeting spot, but where is the event? I wont be running my car, but would be interested in going to watch and get some footage. -Trevor

It's a track event. It's at Shannonville (almost a 2 hour drive east). A bit of a drive just to get some footage, IMHO.

I should be going for my 1st lap of the day at Mosport right now. A coolant line burst last night. Dealership says "overnight", which means I won't have it till tomorrow noon. Anyone know a porsche scrap yard?

No need buddy, I got my scrap car coming for you. As long as you don't mind downgrading. :crying:

Have you tried Porscheapart (http://www.porschapart.com/index.html)?
Thanks, I'll try them. The hose I need has had 4 different part numbers, which to me means that Porsche had problems with it and kept coming out with updated parts hoping to fix the problem... Meaning at the scrap yard I'll likely get the old (i.e. problematic) part.
There goes that idea.

buddy, sorry to hear that. Pfaff parts dept doesn't stock anything. Even White touchup paint takes one week.

If you get them let me know and I'll give you a few install tips. You probably want to upgrade a few of the screws to SS. Only the small screws connecting the two CF halves are SS, the rest are plated which rusted badly after 1 year.

Yeah... I'm bringing the E55 tomorrow. It needs new tires anyway :/
If I'm lucky they'll have the hose tomorrow... at best I'd make it late afternoon... not worth getting my hopes up. E55 it is.
I'll likely get there a bit later then, bring my camera, take some photos and chill. Tonight is whiskey night.

lol ran into Peter and a sweet black M3 and silver 330 on the 401 going eastbound at about 7:20 am. I was on my way home after a late night only to take a quick shower and get back to work. God, I wish I was still rolling in their pack :(

LOL that was Yorgi and Qreus with me. I look over and see some dude in a CB vert with a SWAG on his face! For a second I thought you were going to join us, before you peeled off...
Had a great day... Thanks Glen and team for organizing the event, and lunch was terrific as usual.

Yeah it was a great time! Good meet everyone / see everyone again, aside from my slight illness (I think I ate something at breakfast that didn't agree), it was another amazing fastlaps event!
As a side note: The PF01's are insane. They simply don't fade and the bite is amazing. I'm converted... Although I had to drive them on the street for a bit... Squeeeeeeeeeeeek!!! lol.

Good seeing you guys again. Overall, a great day with not a drop of rain, lots of sunshine and a nice breeze. This event was amazing - lots of track time, respectful bunch of guys, lots of car talk, nice rides and great food.
The raffle draw was a nice touch. And, I only say this b/c my number finally got called AFTER the numbers before and after me all won stuff :}:
Great event, Glen & co.

and that's probably when the good stuff was drawn ha ha...you'll remember next time then...
Just want to add my sincere thanks to Glen and his team. It was a wonderful day, among the best track events I've ever attended. Lots of track time (always a good feature), excellent food (a bonus), prizes (an extra bonus), and even some "eye candy" for the predominant heterosexual male population in attendance........ :D And the people were all friendly and respectful on the track.
Had a great time in the new 135i, as the poor machine was prematurely "broken in" at the track.

Thanks guys, it was a pleasure having you at Fastlaps and I can't wait for the next one!
Pat, wish I had more time to check out the 135i...it looked pretty planted in the fast sweeper. how did the brakes hold up?

The brakes were fine. No fade, despite me being out there for 30-40 minutes at a time.
Despite the stock run flats, the grip was pretty good, and I'm quite sure that I was going around some turns faster than what I could achieve with the C55.
I took some video from inside the car. Don't know if you guys want to see it, as it can be quite boring seeing me lap over and over again.
Looking forward to the next fastlaps event, although I don't think I can make it to Calibougie.
It was a fun day. Great people, lots of track time, great food, and well organized, as always. Thanks Glen!
Patrick, I'd like to see the videos.
