How did the RS4 do?
Peter, you need more camber up front bros...what you running right now? -2 up front minimum for those wheels and tires, will work great on street too. I was running -2.5 on street and track if I didn't add more camber.

Yeah tell me about it - I've got barely any camber at all in the front, and already at max adjustment. I'm kicking myself for not getting the camber plates with the coilovers - the tires rub on the fenders a little (and actually chipped a repair job - albeit a bad job). But no worries - TCK plates are on order and on their way :}:

I was sliding around quite a bit out there, and now that I think about it, probably because of the alignment.

For now I've put the RG4's back on - a lot less aggressive in the front.

Hey guys nice photos. What's the reason for the tape on the plate?
I think some people believe the insurance company sends ninja spies to the track and if they see you out there, they'll give you grief or cancel your policy. I have never actually heard of this happening at a lapping day.

I believe the thought stems from people taking part in Solo 1 or Solo 2 and smashing their cars up, then going to insurance. You're definitely not going to be given insurance coverage if you're competeing in your street car on a track. A lapping day isn't competition, however.

on top of that, if there is instruction available to improve your dirving, they are "supposed" to cover your car for drivers education.

however, if the insurance company would like to cancel my policy based on the fact that i decide to have fun with my car off the street in a safe environment with an organized event such as fast laps, i welcome the phone call from them....

It will make it much more planted and the turn it will be much crisper, and those big wheels up front will finally be t***** in.

These look a lot better at full resolution.

If anyone else wants pics of their cars on CD just PM me your mailing address and I'll send you a disc too. You can take these to Blacks or Costco etc.. and print them for about $0.20 each.

If you saw your car in any of the above pics I probably have many more shots of your car.

As requested by George and Glen from the other thread, here is a 9 minute clip of me in the 135i doing 4 laps of the Full Track at Shannonville where there isn't a whole lot of traffic in front of me. The 2nd and 3rd laps are the best ones, I think. However, you'll see that one of the corner cones was knocked down. If you guys want, I have other video with more cars in front of me/passing me.

No. I love that car. Felt bad abusing it on the track, even though it was quite competent in that regard. I may still bring it out to track days in the future, but more likley on a track like Mosport, where there is less wear and tear on the equipment.

Sweet vid... I'd love to take that 135i around the track a few times :)
Incidentally, here's a vid from my first time on a track at Shannonville last year. The video isn't as good and I'm not nearly as fast in my 325ci. Learned a lot though! My cornering became much better than it was in this video from the first few laps.
