OK, here goes...

For those of you interested in a day cruise up to Barrie/Simcoe County, please cast your ballot for when you'd be available to come out. It would be the first weekend in October (2/3) and the following options:

I don't know if you guys know this but the following weekend is the thanksgiving weekend ( october 11 ). If we are going to have a cruz on oct 2/3 would this be the e46toronto.CA thanksgiving crew meet or are we going to have a separate one the following weeked oct 9/11. Chris/Anthony any ideas?

My thinking is to have our Thanksgiving meet before the actual weekend -- lots of folks may be away?

It'd be festive -- a cruz to Barrie/Orillia, nice colours, restaurant dinner, then GAMBLING....

Lots of Sundays are not good in Oct for me -- I vote for a Saturday...

I fourth the idea of Thanksgiving Meet a week earlier just in case other members have family dinners to attend to.

So are we narrowing it down to Saturday, Oct 2 now Mark?

Anth does bring up a good point - Rama is up that way to guys! Crap - do we have to add a third option??

As for sit down meal, there is Webers Downtowner in Orillia proper - it is a full sit down place, good food. It is probably the best place in Orillia for a sit down meal, or we are back to Jack Astors in Barrie...

Mark

PS I am thinkin' a vote for Saturday too...

Oh yeah, for the members who are voting.... attend.
Please do not vote knowing you will not show as this will affect the Marks' decision-making capability, and he will be vey angry.

I guess we're spending Thanksgiving up in Barrie this year. Cool. Barrie. Orillia. Casino. Food. Cruise. Ah, it doesnt matter what you guys decide. I'm there.

Wow, this is scary deja... my parents "cottage" is up in Orillia on L.Simcoe... 5 mins from Casino Rama... I'd say do a Sat cruise, because we won't have much traffic etc to deal with there and back..and we can stay out later>>Sunday will be biz on 400

I'm definately in on the cruise either day... I may have to stop by and cut the grass though, and race Anthony with my riding mower..

There are lots of places other then Webers in Orillia.. Eastsides, Kelseys etc if we want... Maybe a group shoot at my parents place...I'll ask nicely 1st..

Yeah, I get even uglier when I'm angry... ;)

OK I think Saturday October 2 is the way to go as that seems to be the majority vote (sorry to the Sunday voter).

Now...location...can we get a concensus on:

1. Casino,
2. Webers highway, or
3. BBQ in Barrie.

Chris, Anth, help me out fellas! :)

Hmmm, prob when we were pulled over waiting... Stalker and I were "goin" through the 1st Rd we went on...Got buried by the Stalk-Mobile.. Duh> :(

Was a great cruise though..too bad we didn't get the group photo by the mirror bldg...

Over the winter, we should all vote on what were the best\fun cruises..and make them an annual thing..

Have we come to a conclusion yet? I think if we confirm the plans already, we'll start to get a confirmed response.

Let's try to finalize the plan, so we can start to confirm the last couple of weekends. It's getting chilly in the evening.

Mark...I know you're busy at the Speedway...

Has nothing to do with me Chris...the third option wasn't put on the table by me. Trust me, I want to know just as much as you! You guys are the ones doing the extra driving which seems to be an issue with some and not with others.

The date will be Saturday Oct 2. The activity options are:

1. BBQ in Barrie at St. Vincent Park. There is a covered area in case of rainy weather, but it won't help if it is cold. The least amount of driving is required with this option. Also we will need people to bring up and operate charcoal BBQs.

2. Webers on the highway. Good option for pictures, a unique "cottager" dinner, more driving required. There also are VIA passenger cars there where we can eat indoors.

3. Casino Rama. More of an indoor option, similar amount of driving as Webers, dinner has a few options (either at the Casino or in Orillia at the sit down Webers, or back to Barrie to Jack Astors).

Concensus people? My vote is #2 because it is a little different and covers us off in case of poor weather.

I think we have enough driving by the time we get to Barrie. What do you guys think? :)

I vote for option 2. That way whatever weather condition we may be faced with that day we are "covered". In more ways than one.

I like option 2 also...since parents summer place is in Orillia... maybe a tour d'bmw cruise and photoshoot there later??
