My low beams are too high. Can I lower them myself? I don't notice any knobs under the hood.

yea...there are little phillip screws right on the headlight itself..

Worked like I charm, brought them down tonight. Hopefully its better. I was blinding ppl.

I have the opposite problem, I think mine are too low but I don't know how to measure... I imagine there is a way based on the vehicles height and distance from the object on which you are shining the light...

yup, and its somewhat complicated. Just bring them up a little by little till you get them where you like them.
