Welcome Phantasie. Yeah you better watch out, this board has a tendancy to spur you to spend money on mods!! If your significant other frowns on that, you'd better start working on changing their mind now! It's best if you bring them out to see the beautiful cars that have been put together! :)

Welcome Phantasie :)
It's too bad you just signed up now. You missed a great cruise through Burlington and Oakville last Sunday.
Oh well, there will be more to come!
LOL, Welcome, don't worry. I haven't got anyone a speeding ticket yet. :)
Yes because you're on a leash :p
I know you got that deep down feeling Gary, the feeling to explode and just hit that gas pedal. Your right foot is itching for the gas pedal :p
Hey did you see that nice black G35 that passed us on the QEW nearly Oakville? Nice. I wanted to catch up to see if it's a chic but too much traffic hehe.

Wow, quick responses! Good to see an open community here.
I frequent bimmerfest, bmwfourms, and e46 fanatics a fair bit, both lurking and posting, however Im looking forward to a local board to post on, etc - a bit easier to relate to people here than the 20ish with rich parents california crowd on e46fanatics :P
Meets will be nice too, though I need to do a few more mods first to show off :P Currently Ive added aluminum pedals, black rondels, and medium tint. And looking at a black grill and clear lights. Any suggestions for local dealers?? Thus far Ive stuck with EBay (including Bimman in Whitby, but their shipping charges are crazy and wouldnt allow local pickup)

Ask Chris where he got his blackout grill. Very nice.
Get OEM clears but I'm not sure where the best place is....
Stock or modded, everyone is welcome :)

We used to have 9-5 jobs but after joining we just post & ride our cars to some unknown location & just stare @ it for hours & hrs. Sometimes we say hi to our family & friends but that became boring. So, we just came back to the place we call home--> e46toronto.ca Welcome to the board :)
Kidding...this site is built on having fun, sharing ideas, spending gobs of money on mods & interacting w/ppl w/the same interest as u..well in cars. If u can show up @ a meet u will know exactly what everyone's saying.
Glad to have u on board.

Get clear lights. I've been working like crazy but still am obsessed with completing my clear light set and clearing my "Shame"...just kidding. :) I've seen a bunch of local posts for clear light sets being sold. Keep your eye out for a good deal.

if i remember correctly... Canadian dealerships won't sell front clears for facelifted sedans...
the best bet is to get it from E46Fanatics, or Bekkers...
don't worry about being an "un-modded" car... I am pretty much "un-modded" too... I showed up at meets with my stock wheels & some Subaru tires... :blaaaa:

Alex, take no offense to our closing of the thread. We closed it due to the fact we are aware of the forum etiquette and such and need not be blown out of proportion with other off topic replies as it had the potential to lead to. Again, Anthony & I thank you for promoting the site. We're assisting you by getting slammed by other admins on other forums if you cross that spamming line. Read our replies carefully.
Members' posts...always monitored for inappropriate content.
Members' support... observed and appreciated.
Sarcasm... very unappreciated.
Cheers Alex.

Hey Alex,
Don't worry. I got "told" also from other boards.... :Idunno:
Even though we are the same BMW community, I guess some people just don't want to mix.

Hi Eric,
I am not worried and I was prepared, and willing to take a "hit" from other boards because I have been a member for a long time in good standing, and "one bad post in a blue moon" wouldn't hurt my membership.
I felt it was a small price to pay to promote this board.... after all, we all know that many members from old e46toronto site never moved to tuningemotions.... so, what is the best and quickest solution to reach all of them and any new ones? (rhetorical question)
I was just so excited to have our local forum back and then wham from our own admins :thumbsdow
If new owners feel so strongly to distance themselves from the old one, maybe they should post a banner "Under New Management" at the top of the main/first page :-) How people are suppose to guess these things without any post?
Considering people regularly posted on tuningemotions about regreting the closing of the "old e46toronto" site, I honestly thought new E46toronto was "finally" created by Stan and Chris and AUDIOPHILIA simply helping out as Admins.
I did not see one post on this site so far to indicate that this new E46Toronto site is somehow different or disassociated from the original one, nor that it is owned/operated by different people. This is fine with me, I am not asking for introductions but likewise don't take it out on members who don't know all details behind the scenes and just want to attract more people.
All the best.

Incorrect...be careful of your choice of words here my friend. To start off, I shouldnt even be replying to this post however, to clarify things in case you misread Admins' post as well as Erics... Anthony & I did not" wham" you. We gave you a "heads up" to be careful of posting on other sites. We are not holding anybody back from promoting/posting on other forums however differnt admins see spam in many different forms. We're watchin your back for you as you help us promote. Start reading the thread from the beginning.

The other was ... nevermind. This forum is for the members. "under new management" banner was innappropriate because e46toronto.ca was never previously owned. To find out about what the forum is about, please take note in Announcements (http://www.e46toronto.ca/forums/announcement.php?f=12) (click here) which in one sentence tells you about the site. The domain name alone is a dead giveaway.

Sorry Alex. I don't ever recall Stans name ever being brought up in any thread with all due respect.

Again, Announcements (http://www.e46toronto.ca/forums/announcement.php?f=12) is the introduction. Second, put your wall down bro, nobody is taking it on you. Admins here, again we're just giving you the "heads up" in case you get slammed by other forums for possible spamming as Eric was by another relative forum. And you'd think, we were all one BMW community... we're trying to make it that way Alex.
Alex, I'll finish off with, you can see how the community here has bonded. If you happen to join our meets, this forum is not about Admins, or who has the baddest M3 or the most mods. The extra contribution put in by Team Premier members by posting extremely detailed DIYs', members taking time to spread the word while they're having a coffee or at school, making new members feel "at home" for those joining their first meet, members informing other members of parts for sale on other forums they may not be aware about, and the list goes on. Try coming out to an e46toronto.ca meet/cruise/dinner, you'll see first hand why this forum has come together.
And yes, thank you to all the members who are making e46toronto.ca happen. It's your community.
