I really wish i wasn't working today (i usually don't)! It was perfect weather for a cruise, and events that take place on saturday, while more common, are a pain in the ass for me to attend because of my schedule :(.
Looked like a great turnout and a fun cruise!

Looked like a good cruise...next time (said that before) I will go on one of these, have a few changes coming :D What looked nice was the maxbimmer crew seemed a little more mature than what I have heard...

(Well, there were a few isolated incidents, a couple of 5 series passed me on a double solid yellow line with no gaps ahead and oncoming traffic. Earlier I respectfully let a lady driver enter the line in front of me while exiting Tim's then some jerk**** 20 year old kid cut me off when it my my turn. Let's just say they weren't from this site. Mostly behaved I would say.)

Was the route 500KM?
Did Randy bring his e92 M3?
Anyone have the directions list and want to scan for me? Me and Voluted will be doing a recreation of the trip in a couple of weeks probably. Everyone welcome to join.

Did Randy bring his e92 M3?Does Randy have an e92 M3? He is driving a silver e46 330 or 325. You can see him leaning on it in Set 1 2nd pic.
I'm going out now to wash all the friggen bugs off my car. I went out to Waterloo after the cruise to pick up a square set of 18x9.5 SSR wheels. So I've got bugs from the east mixed with bugs from the west splattered all over my car.

Actual route from KC to final destination in Peterborough was 380km... with the drive home to Mississauga it was over 500km.
I never bought an E92 M3.. in fact, that was an April fools joke (in 2008) on maX weeks after I wrote an online review on it. I have an E46 328i sedan as my daily.

the cruise was well planned out and ridiculous fun. the best part of the cruise was hwy 507 after lunch. i'll post pics once i sift through everything. that is 3 cameras. plus since my friends and i practically videotaped the whole cruise we'll try to put a little video together and post that up somewhere in the next few weeks. i can't wait for the next one.

Hey Yorgi, Never met you before or knew what your screen name was (though I see you on here all the time). Once I saw your pics (with my car just ahead of you) I finally put a screen name with a face lol, especially when I read your post about the ssr wheels as we talked about them at one of the pit-stops.
Great meeting you, and had a blast rippin down that straight away together. I definitely put my new brakes to use when that stop sign appeared abruptly over the hill
lookin' forward to the next cruise for sure

-TrevorGreat meeting you too Trevor. That's what I love about these meets, you finally get to put faces to names.
We definitely had a blast along Liberty road and just after Mosport over that crest. You should come out to the track some day, from the way you dove I can tell you would be an instant addict. Too bad I did not get any pics of your GF hanging out of the car, it was pretty funny from where I was sitting. :)

You missed a great day. It was so much fun. Well planned. The cars looked great.
There was one specific reason you would have liked to have been there. Maybe it was better that you weren't! ;)
You did miss some extremely hot cars.
Yorgi's right, the video would have been really something. HD. Next time.

Lol I was concentrating so much on the driving that I didnt notice she was being so daring! Wish we had a beauty SLR (the camera, although id take the car as well lol) like yours to snap some shots, she was just using her crappy HP...
Got a few half decent pics of your ride; Im heading out to the movies now, ill get em posted tomorrow.
On the track side of things, ive been recently (lol, just since our cruise on sat) looking into the BMW Advanced Driving School sessions they do at Mosport (next one being on June 5th and 6th), but am a little worried with my tire setup.. I inquired over on fanatics, and they advised against me tracking with the 19" 235/55's, and to rather get a set of 17's... I have my stock 16" (style 45) but they currently are wrapped in my winter tires. Tempting to throw some summer rubber on them :Idunno: We will see...
Man; like I had mentioned... After going a little overboard with my Talon, I promised myself I would keep my car stock... That didnt last long, and now it looks like I have been nipped by the speed bug

Personally I think when you first start tracking your car you should use street tires, probably for 2 seasons at least.
So 19" are fine in that case. When it comes to tracking street tires, the model of the tire is more important than the size. Some street tires do great on the track (Falkens, Toyo, Goodyear F1) and others tend to fall apart when pushed (Michelin, Dunlop).

I instruct at these BMW Mosport schools, so trust me when I say that your 19" tire pkg is more than adequate for the track (provided logically they are in good condition). When you start out, you will not be reaching any significant speeds to worry about breaking traction or premature wear from only 1 weekend.
