Well, here is a picture of my M3 the first day I picked it up. Since then I have ordered and recieved (all but the brakes) all the parts in my sig. Installing them come March when I bring the car out of storage. Looking forward to seeing some of you guys around come summer.

P.S. Anyone else on here track their cars on a regular basis?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Someone made me aware of the site from M3forum.net . So I thought I would drop by and check it out. Nice site, looks like you guys have some pretty serious cars kickin' around. :thumbsup:

Hey, have you been using that same username for a while? There's a local guy named Ian who uses that name, don't think a 540i is his style for a daily though. Either way, nice car.

Yep, its me, Ian. I have had the 540 for almost a year now. I like it, but I am thinking of trading it in on a new STI. I like AWD for the winter, especially since my neighborhood doesn't get plowed. :confused2

Hi Ian,

Welcome to this board. I also track my car. Congrats on joining the Trillium (saw it on max).

By the way, a friend switched from Boxter to STI in 2003. If you need any first hand experience, I can find out or introduce you to him.

oh oh oh oh... dibs on ride. I've never been in an STI, only the non. Those Impreza's are raw. That'll be crazy if you get an STI.

To be honest, its a totally different feel. The 540 is faster on the highway compared to my S4. However, the S4 was quicker, that thing only lost once against natale's Type R on spray. They both handle fairly well, but you can tell the 540 is carrying some extra pounds. If I had to chose between the two, I would most likely go with the 540. It has a slightly more solid feel, and having 324ft lbs out of that V8 sure is nice for second gear pulls.
