have you guys thought of just painting your bulbs? I did mine and no ones the wiser...and it's cheap!
if I see you at the 1st meet, you can see what I mean...
just trying to save $$$ on things that you can, but if you want to spend....by all means go ahead!

Well one of our members did do that, with apparently the proper paint, and it all flaked off... so i don't know.
Saving $$$ is good. Spending is even better $$$.

tell me about it...have to hide $$$ stuff from the wife :D
I did the painted bulbs and no probs.. no flaking, no nothing...so I like the idea that if any of my bulbs blow I can go to Crappy Tire, get another bulb and with the spray can I bought for < $5 can probably do another 100 bulbs! ha ha
btw they work as intended. clears looks clear and turn signals turn amber...

What's the brand name of the spray.? I'll keep it in mind for when these solaris burn out.

Beauti-Tone (Home Hardware) silver HIGH HEAT
I don't think brand matters as long as you get the high heat application.

I heard the light output on the self-painted bulbs are poor. If you're ever worried about getting pulled over by the police, it looks a lot better if you have manufactured bulbs that happen to look silver but flash amber no problem than doing something to your bulbs to purposely decrease light output. But I agree, it seems a lot of of money to spend on bulbs. :)

Insurance will double or more...
Previous mods sold for less $$$$
New mods will be even more $$$$$$$$
I actually like the lines of M-Tech's BETTER than the front end of a M3 :secret:

I'm all for getting an M3 as well, however the only thing I'd be concerned about is the 100+hp upgrade on the new M5 engine, which will likely be followed by an upgrade in the M3 engine shortly.
You dont want to be stuck with the "previous" weaker model M3 after spending a boat load of cash. At least the E36 M3 had a 2 year gap before the 333hp M3 came out and made the 1999 owners feel girly with their 240hp. :)

Yeah, true...especially since I was looking at getting a 1999 M3 last year but talked myself out of it because of the honking huge engines on the newer models. Good luck and dont forget us little people! :blaaaa:

If anyone runs into installation problems as I did there is an easy fix.
My fronts are 150 degree nibs and rears are 180 degree. Of coarse set is all 180 or 150 degree.
carefully using fine cut file, file off 1 of the nibs on the bulb There is still lots of holding power in the socket to secure the bulb. :)
