The spark plug DIYs at various BMW sites are already excellent write-ups and therefore I will not attempt to re-invent the wheel (ok, I'm lazy ;) ). However, I just want to add an extra step that I think made the DIY much easier.

The first step should be the removal of the microfilter housing:
- Remove the cover and and cabin filter
- You will now see 4 torx screws holding the housing. Remove the screws and the housing and you'll have better access to spark plug #5 and #6. You'll save yourself a lot of grief later.

I don't have a lot of pics and I'm not about to do it all over again so attached below is all I have with the housing already removed (I circled the torx screw locations in red).

Where can you buy the Bosch 4+ spark plugs from? Would Canadian Tire sell it?
Is there a part number?
How much are the plugs?

I recommend http://www.clubplug.net/canada/. They're Canadian so no exchange/duty headaches to deal with. Use the search tool on the site to look for the plug you need.

Ironically Walmart sells Bosch +4's the cheapest... $15 per set of 2...cheaper then CTC... work the same

I maybe due for another set for the winter at the price..
