Ok. A lot of members have been asking for the M3 mirrors. I'm in current negotiations for a groupbuy, but apparently there are many options with these "car ears". They come unpainted.
here are the options... UNOFFICIALLY.
e36 m3 style - heated/non-heated // motorized/non-motorized
e39 m5 style - heated/non-heated // motorized/non-motorized
E36 & E39 come with options such as memory, autofold or lamp. Obsiouvly, more options, more $$$. And depending on how many members wanna buy into the GB.
e46 m3 style - unavailable
Can I get a general idea of who's interested in what...
Price? Don't know yet. Depends on the average # of buyers.
Pic 1 - e36 m3 style
Pic 2 - e39 m5 style
Tell me what you guys think... Again, serious buyers please so the numbers stay somewhat accurate. Thank you.

a few things to keep in mind:
bases:
coupe/sedan use different base
connectors:
6 pins / 12 pins depending on year and options. 2004+ uses ribbon connectors
autofold:
requires fuse #57 & a new mirror switch
mirror glasses:
plane style or split mirror (to reduce blind spot). also, no tint or blue tinted
E36 M3 mirrors do not come with autofold, only M5/M3 replica mirrors do.
M5/M3 mirrors do now come with turn signal, only E36 M3 replica mirrors do.
that's all i can think of for now.. it's late & i am ZZZzzz...

Mirror Glasses: never asked. Will do.
Hannice, same guy you got my grill from. Can you arrange a meeting with him when you're out in H-Town to see the products. He's aware that I'll be sending you to review the quality/options etc of the product. PM if all is good.

I was also trying to get him to ship out a sample for each, so members can see. Obviously not. Fair enough. But I tried.

how about to "borrow" a set of each "on loan" for a weekend and return it afterwards???
i wouldn't mind to meet up with him to check on quality... but i can only check for build quality but not fitment or anything...

I asked "borrow" as well, but he said unless there's a payment down..which is basically buying it. Fair enough. But for a group buy, you'd think otherwise.
Anyways, contact him for quality control, I'll deal with the fitment issues & returns.

I'll take note IanS. That's why I was trying to have the distributor send some down so we can do fitment...

it's M5 style but made for E46s... so it will fit...
most replica M3 mirrors out in the market have the M5 mirror look instead of M3 look...

I'm in for the M5 mirrors. My first choice woulda been the e46 M3, but since that's not available, M5 is the next best thing. As for the autofold, I guess it depends on how much more. To me this option is more of a "like to have." Lights are not needed.
Question: Do the mirrors need to be painted??
Please keep us informed Chris. Thanks again for your efforts!
