THIS IS FOR CABS ONLY

Parkview just told me they can't re-program the computer with my LCM so now my LEDs are up for sale!

All parts in the LED retrofit kit including

1) Tail lights
2) Trunk lights
3) Coverings
4) Bulb carriers
5) Wire harnesses

Everything brand new never installed. $550.

The reason I'm selling is because I need a new LCM (necessary for production date < Sep 2001) and that will cost me another $200.

If you have a cab > Sep 2001 it's plug & play.

That's terrible.
Are you sure there's no way around it or to get another LCM from someone else for cheaper?

$200 is US price. Parkview wants $420. What a bunch of f*** thieves!

Well if nobody is buying it then I'll bite the bullet and get the LCM changed too. What the hell!

Is LCM change considered a mod? :D

haha.. we all have a LCM on the car... so technically it's not a MOD... it's an UPGRADE...

u need the stealer to program the LCM for u too cuz it is one of the 3 places that store the mileage of the car...

Ha ha ha :}:
I guess you have to run like 2 LCMs at the smae time to have it count as a mod. :D

Keep them, I put on the LEDs a few weeks ago, and they are so much nicer. I actually had them installed and the LCM at Parkview aswell. Very happy with the new look. I got lucky though, I have a 2003 so no new LCM. Good luck.

And I'm willing to bet that the only difference between the LCMs is a handful of 1.5 cent resistors to change the differential balance of the testing circuit. Would be nice to see an old one and a new one to see the difference...

Now that's wrong. So getting new wheels shouldn't be considered mods then since we all got wheels and tires :)
What about those exhaust tips :p

no u just don't get what i mean....
as Mark said.. the 2 LCMs are almost identical in almost every aspect... except maybe a resistor...

but OEM type 44 is very different from HRE 841R right????????????
that's what I consider a mod...

Cabrio,

If you are keeping the car for the next year or longer, definitely change to LED. Looks very good.

I know, I am just torn about the extra cost on the LCM.

Does Cross Avenue program computers? I wonder if they can install the LCM for me.

Yes I think they can do the LCM reprogramming for you. Double check with Sam at Cross.
