:secret: if you install it on a new computer, you get 12 months of service :D
i don't think u have to register ... u just need to type in the ID number to get the subscribtion ... and i think oyster might be right u get a full 12 onth if u install on another computer ... when i had my thinkpad it came preloaded with norton antivirus 2003 with 3 months free subscribtion and when ever i format the thinkpad to the factory settings the norton virus subscribtion goes back to 3 months again ... so weird

I have norton antivirus 2002,
1-installed on desktop
2-after 1 year renewed desktop
3-year 2, bought laptop, used same cd to installed it on
4-desktop had like 5 months left of subs then software went bad, uninstalled and reinstalled....got 12 months.
so with norton, you buy software, renew after 1 year. 11 months into subscription paid, you uninstall and reinstall for another 12 months.
so buy a sub every 2 years or so :D

buying a mac was the best move you could have done. now you have no need for anti-virus software .... and you computer wont crash!

Price, and serious compatability issues, almost non-existent upgrade capabilities, isolation from the computer mainstream, and ..uh...ghey factor. :D
my powerbook should arrive anyday now ... can't wait woot windows xp seems so boring and complicated after trying the mac os x on my gf ibook ... i downloaded the window xp sp 2 and i don't surf any porn site (not with my laptop :p) or download unknown things i still get a sh*t load of spyware everyweek and my laptop just feels slower and slower every week  everyone should switch to a mac :D

Based on studies on tests done... your computer doesn't get slower and slower if you maintain it properly. The user just adjusts to the speed and processing power from the previous computer. That's a fact. ;)

hahahah ... i have a g4-17 powerbook, and it has never crashed, never stalled, never done anything other than what I asked it to. I am a recent convert and would never go back. hate having to use a pc at work now ... but that is the way the legal world works ... shitty!
maybe jaguar had issues .... but panther is bulletproof.
