Hey everyone, I was glad to find a site dedicated to such a fine generation of bmw!
I am about 6 months into the ownership of my first E46... My previous car was a E36 328i, and that car is credited fully for my love of BMW!
Any ideas or input is appreciated as my E46 has not even recieved tint yet... the only addition is a Dinan rear strut brace.
Any ideas on bulbs for the fogs to match the HID's would be a great start?!
Cheers!

Hey welcome bud, car looks very clean. Looks like its from the states? :s
lol but ya for fogs, first thing i did was get HID fogs... the colour is a whitish/yellow on mine and it obviouslly has a great output than the bluish ones... im not sure exactly what temp. mine are.
mine dont exactly match the oem hid headlights... but are close enough, hopefully someone can help u decide

Car looks great. Welcome to the board.
Sorry, I don't use my fogs but if I was going to change my bulbs I'd start by looking at pictures on google images and video from youtube to get an idea what colour you like. I think most guys into lighting change both the headlight and fog bulbs.

Thanks to all for the comments!
Love the car so far... putting it to bed for the winter was the hardest thing- my F150 just doesn't pull the same!
Also great input on the fogs... even "close" for the color would be better than the crisp white of the HID's vs the pee in the snow-bank yellow of the fogs!
I am stoked to make it to a meet once the weather breaks this spring... YouTube just isn't the same as live noise to assist in selecting an exhaust set-up...
Cheers!

Hey there! Welcome to the forum! Nice choice to pick up the M, you won't regret it. As far as your fog lights question. I have 50 watt HID kit with 6,000k temperature. Its really, really bright - much more so than factory HIDs which are 35watts and 4,300k. My headlights are completely smoked out, so I use the fogs to drive. If you want pics, I can take a picture of them tonight and post them!
Let the modding begin.

Thanks again- likely deserving of a switch in thread at this point but this may be more simple match with the fogs vs HID's?

I personally don't think its worth spending money on bulbs. My buddy installed something similar on his 330ci and threw them out a week later when he bought a 6,000k fog set. Will be worth it in the long run. But thats just my opinion. Hope that helps.

Hey if you are interested, I have a like-new set of 6000k HIDs. They are 50watts just like the one i described earlier and shine pure white. They have been used for a total of 1-2 hours, so pretty much brand new. Bought them for my 93 nissan 300zx but returned the car back to the owner 2 days later due to an oil leakage issue. I paid $160 for it. Comes with box and 1 year warranty. These are hands down the brightest HIDs you will find for your car. Let me know if you are interested. PM is key.
