If they leave the hay there, don't ever stand that close to that corner.
Someone pointed out that the hay is there for motorcycle lapping days, but should not be there for car events.
Where was the ambulance????

It would have been a minor mistake with no wall contact if the hay was not there. I would say the dumb-ass is the guy who decided to leave hay bales jutting out from the wall that far down the straight during car lapping events.
According to YouTube comments the guy was fine. Apparently the owner of the car is the brother of the driver's friend and the poor dude is in Cuba not knowing his car is bouncing off walls at Cayuga.

All too familiar at a TMP / CSCS event.

Wow. That's too bad. Agree about the hay comments.

i was actually there in person behind those walls and saw the crash. ..
around 5-6 cars made it past the straight and this happend...whats worse was the aftermath and traffic jam it caused behind it, the drivers all stopped their car and got out (which they shouldn't have for safety reasons)
and there were still cars approaching the pack of cars that stopped..
wouldve easily been a 10-15 car crash if drivers didn't react quickly and braked on time!
