BTW, is that integrated amp the European one that you're reviewing?The 6G integrated is a stopgap till those monster monoblocks arrive from the same company (pictured above) 22Gs...:D

The integrated you see is a Canadian designed/PRC built piece.

I'm listening to Pat Metheny right now. This amp is dropdead amazing....layer, layer, lush, detailed, gorgeous...it'll be getting a star rating...if this integrated sounds like tbhis, I can't wait to hear those monoblocs.

I heard a $250,000 system today at one of my advertisers...really superb two channel...:secret:

Eric: they are Avantgarde Trios and Basshorns...their electronics, too....single-ended...great sound, but the look is...ahem...'different'

We'll talk about some ideas for your HT speakers. I used to run a EAD TheatreMaster processor but sold it for a newer Yamaha RX-V2400 for HT use only. Do you mind looking at used equipment.

I just found some Monitor Audio HT speakers for a coworker here. A full 5 speaker setup for 1/3 the cost of retail on equipment less than 2 years old. He bought them right away.

I think it's a good idea if you don't have a dedicated circuit to your components.

IMO it all depends on how much power noises you hear, how picky you are and how much moola you have to spend. Just my 2 cents.

i have a 5.1 setup leftover from my older sony HT-in-a-box set
the sound is quite bleh :Qboy: , but all i can afford at the moment!

i'd like to spend maybe < $2000 on a 5.1 surround setup, and possibly upgrade the extra two matching speakers when i get more cashflow.

Chez nous is a DVD- Audio-free zone.:) Loved a lot of 2 channel SACDs and even some 5.1s, but never heard a good DVD audio that replicates a natural acoustic space...

jk re the bimmer...just happy that on really cold days and snow, my baby can stay comfortable...

bring over lotsa stuff, ED...if we have the technology, we'll play anything you got...would like you guys to hear correct 2 channel in a good space done properly with equipment synergy,...

I think the card is not so smart. I think with 1 card, you could swipe it and jessica can swipe the machine besides it. I just can't picture an advanced networked card reader system with multiple logic checks.

Well, survived the trip home. The roads got horrible around Pickering and kept getting worse. Saw 3 cars spin out and about 4 accidents on top of that. Not nice.

a buddy asked me once whether i wanted to do a stall spin or spiral dive...i chose the spiral dive cause i thought that'd be the least scary...it's the scariest...we did two rotations...:eek:

the powered manueveurs are far worse than a simple stall/spin recovery...i just about crapped my pants
