Sure, if you want your car stolen.
Gary, Fernando is looking at weird stuff again.
:0 that's a big screen. Are you sure it's for a car or for your office. :D
You know as we get older we need bigger screen and powerfull cars. But i think the best option is to adapt a 10" lcd below the a/c.
LCD blocking the AC  Where is the air coming out from?
Hi there,
Check out MP3car.com! I've had several computers in my previous car, and they actually work quite well (I had DVD/MP3/GPS/etc). Expect about a $1000 investment to get slick system - I can rattle off a few of the required peices for you. The most important investment is probably getting a good automotive power unit (like the cops use), so that the computer turns on/off with your ignition, followed by a reasonably good touch screen.
There is a guy on MP3car that is willing to fabricate e46 consoles (you move your ac/climate down to the "smoking" section) that look factory and fit a number of 7" touch screens perfectly!
If you have questions about where to go with it, just ask and I'll answer as best I can!
cheers,
GTC
Thanks for the support GTC. :) Would it be costy to change the A/C climate to the smoke console? I guess it's better for people that don;t smoke.
m002 - I haven't done this yet, but from what I understand from the MP3car forums is that it's actually pretty cheap! The part(s) you need is/are OEM from BMW and only costs about $50 - depending on your how your buttons in that area (DSC/ASC heated seats, stereo, etc) are layed out (either in an attached strip or seperate) you need slightly different peices. However, the actual movement of the parts is just simple plug-n-play stuff - pull the center trim off and change out the peices with factory screws!
On second thought, you may not loose the smokers package - it might just be the small cubby hole above the smokers package - it's been awhile since I've visited those boards!

Thanks for the infro GTC. :)
