after 7 hours of installation time, and lots of anger, its finaly done. Big thanks to M32 from fanatics for his tips, they made a big difference. and thanks to Trevor from t2designs for his help getting this for me. he;s a solid guy and if anyone needs a trunk, hes the guy to go to.overall, the fit is good, but had a lot of problems with the lock, and getting it attached to the new trunk, as well as the lights and some other minor things. the fit is great, gaps are small and even, and it looks OEM on the outsite

very nice, love the CSL trunklid.

I've seen some fibreglass ones that eventually develop little ripples. They start off fine, but I think fibreglass eventually does this. Do you think this will happen to CF?

That looks so pimp! My wife would kill me if I spent $1300 on a CF trunk though :p, and there's no way to hide it since my car is yellow

The ripples are because of the low quality fibreglass. With low quality fibreglass there tends to be a lot of movement in them (ie, expands when heated, contracts when its cold). I once heard from a friend that it'll take 100 years for cheap fibreglass to settle. With CF, only the backsides of the product is fibreglass and the outer layer is CF. You would not see the little ripples in the CF ones. However, with CF products, the fittiment is usually not as good as the fibreglass products.

Im still looking for an OEM one, that is not outrageously priced.
