Sunday afternoon was the perfect day to detail the car, warm and cloudy. I'd been debating it for a while but decided to try out the Mothers clay bar and 3 step wax system.
The results are stunning. It looks better than showroom. It was a lot of work though. You have to really love you car to do this, that shouldn't be a problem on this board...
I guess it took me about 4 hours total and 1 sore shoulder. Car wash, clay bar, wax cleaner, polish and glaze then carnuba wax.
During the process it didn't look that great, it was getting po'ed but the carnuba wax gives it the mirror shine. I can't belive how smooth it is.
Bottom line: if you've got time to kill and prefer spending time with you car over your wife ;), then its worth the effort.
