For those of you who have not yet gotten FRS radios for crusies, I saw that Grand and Toy is selling, on sale, packages of 2 Cobra FRS radios for $29.99 (after $10 rebate). This seems like a pretty good price for these radios. I may be getting one to upgrade my radioshack brand radio.

I saw it too but I think we need the one with a 11km range. Front to the back of the line is getting far now.

Maybe we should "mod" a car to drive in the middle of the pack with equipment to act as a relay station. :)

Make sure some of you guys have strong batteries on you FRS. That why sometimes the signal is weak. :)

I'm wondering, are those compatible with our current FRS? Also are they legal? If they are I might consider getting myself one since you guys are always 10+ km in the back or in the front of me :D

Can you imagine that FRS radios are now a must have for our cruise meets. All the other people without radios are missing out on the idle chatter :confused2

Free bump for Ron's radios

Ok so I haven't gone to any of the meets thus far, but what exactly are FRS radios??

I have this pair of motorla radios I use for skiing (the ones you see lots of other families have at skiing or amusement parks). Are those FRS radios??
