I have to get my fenders rolled for sure. i thought I could get away with it.
The ride is very smooth. I turned off my music and tried to listen very carefully over the drone of my exhaust, and the tire noise is quite noisy but not a big deal to me.
The rubbing is not that bad but I prefer to preserve the life of my sidewall and fender lip. They will be rolled next week while the car is in the body shop undergoing other work in the making.

Let me tell you that none of the following pics do these rims on Chris' car justice! Excuse the pun, but we were staggered when we saw them..huge congrats Chris...you deserve your ride...you have sacrificed a lot, thought carefully, and given much to the BMW scene in Toronto...well done!
Here are my pics...

You still might rub even with the roll.

looks gd chris... needs a kit or more of a drop... looks like its sittin real high... but non the less looking real nice
looks good, but i thought the rears would look as agressive as the 18x9's.. maybe its just the pictures...
damn those brakes look small

It does look good! For some reason, I don't think that pictures do these rims justice at all. They look better in person

Thanks guys.
Andrew, it might be the angle of the pics I took which doesnt show the staggered setup. Guess you have to see in person. And yes my brakes do seem small but I'm not about to drop a couple g notes on BBK.
Laziemofo, I won't drop the car anymore as i like the drop but will look into a body kit.
Stalker, at least it will rub less. Right now I'm not rubbing a whole lot.
Blue Dragon, did you see my X3 with the 19" CSL's? :D
My God that's a lotta rubber!
Don't forget to seal the rolled fender lip with silicone to keep the dirt/salt/etc. from rotting out the body panel, and don't be suprised if you have to go back and have the fender lip rolled again (tighter) ... remember the bobo83 thread?
The H&R drop looks perfect for the tires, and I can only imagine what the car must sound like now with the GruppeM/Magnaflow combination ... drool
Now, lets get that BBK on there!!! It's only money, right??? ;)

like i said, the se pics do not show the subtleties of the jet black, the stagger and the drop...
we spoke about a kit last nite...still on the fence....but the drop...my god, it's perfect! the rake of the HRs and the drop transform Chris's ride...the CSLs really add luster to a gorgeous look...

You mean lack of rubber. :D
Actually, if it's rolled properly, it will remove that inner lip in the fender and sealed properly there won't be any problems of rotting or dirt accumulation in that lip.
Dw1, you must ride with us and hear the car on the 401 with the Mag and CAI goin at the same time.
Some E46fanatics think the car isn't dropped enough... but then some of those guys don't drive more than 100kms a week and live in outer suburbs where the Richies can afford to pay taxes and the roads even. So the level of drop was something that had to be highly considered based on my 500-per week of driving and bullsht road maintenance.
BBK...? Damn you all.

Hey Chris,
I'm coming over to parkview at lunch. I gotta buy some valve stem caps. I had one of my steel ones stolen a while back. Gotta check out your ride ;)

I think the drop is just right, lots of ppl over at Fanatics think the car should be dragging on the ground.

went over to see the car. I gotta say it looks pimp, but then I am partial to that style of rim :D. The reps are a little bit brighter than the ZCP/CSL rims, but I think that gives them a little more bling. The spokes look a little thinner, not by much.
Chris definitely has to get his fenders rolled though ;)

a role might not do it either. I think those tires might add to the problem as some tires are actually more square and wider. Hopefully the role does the job though, good luck Chris.

looking pimp Chrissy.
don't slam it, not only will your transmission risk scraping on every sidewalk, it won't handle very well...IMO the drop you have is perfect.

No I will not drop it anymore as I see it from practicality as well.
Excellence Auto Body will be rolling my fenders, a bit more expensive but it's a different method than just the traditional fender rolling. The panel will be heated to give it more flex and fender will shaped and moulded to ensure there is no rub.
The rubbing really is not all that bad but there are those unexpected dips in the road that make me cringe.
Blue Dragon, nice meeting you today. Thanks for the suggestions. here's one... drop your m3. :D LOL!!!... You should've came out to lunch.

The heating is also so the paint won't crack.

Glad to see that Excellence is doing it. They rolled my wife's wagon when I was running 285 PZeros and the car went from mega rub in every corner to zero rub.
This is why I thought you should go for the 265s since the roll made such a huge difference on the 525iT.
The drop looks pimp to me. I think the fanatics guys are hangin around with kerisabe too much. ;)
That tire tread looks like it would eat you up and spit you out if you even look at it the wrong way. :D

Werd to Fanatics & Kerisabe on the droppin'. :D
When I first saw the tire tread at work on some guys M3 with the gun metal CSL's I fell in love with the tread.
Car is slower than hell though. Oh well. str8pimp

Visited Chris yesterday.
Those rims are gigantic (especially with those brakes)!
Lol. Very head turning in person.
Chris, just finished viewing your CSL post over on Fanatics, the troll that slagged your car for having replica mods got b*tch-slapped real good!!! :yak: Hilarious!

Today is the 3rd day on the wheels, I've had more rubbing driving on the crappy scarborough streets this morning then I've had on 2 days from my place to work driving on the 401.
But rolling monday morning. so its ok.

rolling the fronts ? must be different for e46, but if I rolled my front fenders on my e36, it would just push the fender out, sorry just curious, because my RGRs are +32 offset. I had to raise the front to get rid of the rubbing. where are you taking the car in? thanks.

No... rolling only rears. Fronts are good.
The car is getting rolled at Excellence Autobody. Costs more than Wheel & Tire Zone, but I'm a freak about paint flex afterwards.... read this (http://www.e46toronto.ca/forums/showpost.php?p=38641&postcount=19)

Looks great Chris!!
wheels are stunning, tires are huge.
I have to say...the drop looks great, but consider shocks/dampers. All the acceleration/speed lost to the 19's will easily be made up in the corners!
good job!
