Who brings their car to this dealership?
i usually bring my car to Autohaus, but i've had problems with them fixing my driver side door. brought car there 2 times already. still haven't fixed it 100%. Should i bring my car in? i've heard horror stories about their mechanics/service ppl.

and whats up with the no loaner policy?

please comment!!

thanks, jeff

I don't know about you but I will NEVER bring my car back to Town and Country for anything. I'm still in the middle of filling a complaint against them to BMW Canada. I don't know if I would bring my car in there for service even if it's free. Those fools probably screw up your cars more than they can fix it. Just my opinion.

There was an article in the paper about a year ago about how some tech in Autohaus takes customer's car on 407 for 'test' drive and the customer ends up paying the 407 charges.

I bought my car at T&C and took it back for few times for the same problems but they were not able to fix it. Now I take my car to BMW Toronto and they fixed my problem with only 1 visit. They also provide you with a loaner car even though you didn't buy the car from them. I know that T&C's policy was that you only get loaners if you purchase a car from them.

Check out BMW Toronto. Ask for Rob, as he is very knowledgeable and polite.

I went there for my first oil change less than 2 months ago, just because they are the closest to my house. They were just ok, but I did have a bad experience with their sales department before. I was not treated properly as a customer...no one approached me or ask if i needed some help. No one even made eye contact and there were many salespeople that were just pickin there nose, doin nothin! When I finally approach this dude sittin at his desk, I asked a couple of questions and all he can answer me was a YES or NO...so I walked out
Just 2 weeks ago, they called for a survey on their service...I finally got to tell them off!

Hey Jeff. Finally...welcome aboard. BTW, fix your sig Bro.

I used to bring my ride to the stealership when I had warranty...whatever that meant. i think try a different stealership if its under warranty. Otherwise hit up our sponsor Cross Avenue Auto.

No loaner... Parkview does loaner, but advanced reservations.

Well my opinion was for the servicing. Now I tell you my experience with their sales. Their sale guys are basically snobs. They don't talk to you unless you look like you can afford the car :^o:
Ok so basically I talked to one of the guy, he talked to me not because I look like I can afford one but guess he's just bored :p
Anyway, so I got to the point where I'm almost going to buy the car so I asked him for a test drive. He goes I can only test drive if I'm serious about buying the car. Like WTF so I just left the place and went down to Toronto BMW, test drive and buy.

I always shopped for the BMW suited up; let them suck my kneecaps for a while. This, after a bad initial experience at Mississauga. Arnold Brandt suit, Canali tie, Feragamo shoes and a lot of attitude...that's the only way to get some of these twerps to shake a leg...sad, but true...:Qboy:

Agreed. I did the same at Parkview.

Walked in navyblue pinstripe suit, CD shirt, CD tie, Burberry (rocks) light shaded sunglasses and talked my game.

Pimpin styles & suck up sales. str8pimp

I bought my CPO back in Oct 03. I dropped in cause I kept whinning to my wife about wanting a Bimmer. We walk in after dropping the kids off at school, I'm dressed like a slob, my wife about the same. I'm just checking prices when this sales guy approaches, very helpful, not at all pushy.
We left after a few minutes, I make multiple trips back to look at one that caught my eye. Still the sales guy is very polite and gives me alot of breathing room. I buy the car. Later as I need service, guys are great, they work hard, always there to run around and get answers. Even the woman from finance was great. I've been to Toronto BMW, the big Toys R Us dealership on the DVP, people there are really cool, not pushy, especially that young dude who's the greeter. T&C, never heard anything good about them.

i've made my mind, gonna pass on the Town+Country appointment tomorrow. I never really had an experience, bad nor good, but lets keep it that way.

I've heard great things from both Parkview and Toronto BMW dealerships.

I dont know why they wouldn't offer me a loaner.

Chris: yeah, i'm back where the party's at! And I can view my sig fine. Anyone else have problems?

I've bought a brake sensor at Toronto for $26. Was quoted $31 at Parkview

I've filed a complaint against Parkview BMW to BMW Canada, cc The Toronto Star.

Issue was my brake and ......

If Parkview changes their policies, great. If not, it will end up like T&C

Will disclose more once BMW Canada deals with my complaint.

Watch for me on your daily 6pm news report

Nice story. Got a good vibe from BMW Toronto. They are also owned by BMW Canada, not private. May make a diff...

BMW Toronto is a good place to take your car.
Been there a couple of times. Service is great and the tech knows what they are talking about.

T&C always give me loaner if I book it in advance. T&C is not good but Autohaus & Downtown(dunno about Toronto BMW) aren't any better either. They all tried to blame you on ne issue or keep saying "Cannot duplicate problem" or "It is normal". :yourmyido But I never have issue with salesman on ne BMW dealer. I always walk in with a nasty look and they still just give me the key to test drive by myself. BTW, I bought my car from downtown bmw 4 yr ago.

the only time they give me the keys for my driving pleasure is they fear for their safety......

I just slide the rear in corners and next model test I'm on my own :)

I notice no one has mentioned Maranello BMW. We've had great service there, both in the parts dept and service. Had to get the Air Bag light reset and they were very good to deal with - no hassles.

I've been to Autohaus (I even know the owner), Parkview and soon Maranello. I am going to Maranello because some of the mechanics are from the former Beach Auto and the foreman Bob White is supposed to be excellent. I got a referral to call him directly and hopefully I will get special attention when I bring my car in for the lower bearing replacement next week. This is something I don't want a screw up in.
Autohaus was ok and I had to complain a few times. They got a new Service Manager so things are supposed to improve. Parkview I knew a SA so got good service there probably because of that. If I had to choose, Parkview so far has been better than Autohaus. I also made a huge stink about charging for loaners and stuff so they don't do that at Parkview. Autohaus they just know not to charge me and to get me a loaner...

Hope Maranello is good.

BK has great service!

I took my car to Grand touring in London for an ignition coil problem. They told me that no dealership in Ontario gives free loaners. the guy was being a$$ because he knew I was from AB.

I asked them to call BK motors to see if they give courtesy loaners. He made the call on speaker phone. the look on guys face was classic when BK said they had one ready for me if I came that day.
