i just had a thought the other day....what do you think about having e46toronto.ca flyers so that members can hand them out to fellow bimmer drivers on the road or put them on the dash of cars when we see sweet e46's on the street?

just a thought....

I personally dont like the flyer on the dash idea because I hate it when I know that someone was randomly touching my car when I'm shopping, eating, etc. even if it was to lift my wiper blade. :1nono:

Maybe to hand out, though. Cards might be easier. :)

We've been waiting for cards to pass out and I hope they will be here before Bimmercruise.

Flyers are good too as another option but are harder to keep in your pocket.

flyers might be too much of information..
what are we gonna put on it??? maybe we can list our up-coming events, weekly meet location... and a picture of our Admins....

it can be short...nothing too cluttered...just have pics of our rides lined up (of course, the ones w/ the sweet mods will be front & center if allowed) ...make it a bit creative...have all the cars in a "U" formation. we can list some events and weekly meet locations...maybe include some contact emails of the moderators...

I think a simple business card with e46toronto.com address and maybe some catchy slogan would be ideal. To the point and easy to do/carry around. I think flyers are more appropriate if there's some event being organized, etc.

Anthony & I have discussed promotional tools before and we thank everyone for their suggestions.

Flyers would be too cliche and less professional. Business cards on the other hand is the choice of promoting e46toronto.ca. Too much information can lead to loss of interest.

If there is initial interest, they will take time to visit. If not, they will throw it away or forget about it. That being said, if it would be thrown away, its a waste of $ to spend in flyers, are they are more costly due to the size and finish.

Second, as Eric mentioned, cards are easier to keep in your pocket, they don't get crinkled as easy thus being thrown away.

We're pushing for the cards before Bimmercruize. As well, expenses for the site our coming out Admins' pockets so we can't go overboard...yet.

I think cards would work best initially...and perhaps some flyers avail if someone happens to be within "talking" distance as a promo tool... I had a E46 cabrio staring at my ride at a stoplight this am and saw the E46 sticker... they asked "What's e46TO.ca??" Told him to check the url... a card\flyer would have given them instant info about e46TO..

Another helpful promo would be to have a information page beyond the homepage on this site..explaining who\what e46TO is and perhaps a invitation\welcome to new members.... Just my 2 cents.. :Idunno:

that's a good idea...maybe add some history to it as well. i was actually lookin around to see when this site started up and i think it was early this month...can't pinpoint the date. maybe we should have a catchy statement too....that is, our purpose.

very true...flyers can get costly, esp if it is in colour. i'm sure we can all help out if we decide on it down the road.

All thoughts are into consideration. Anthony & I will whip something up. We are confident we haven't disappointed anyone here. And I won't even insert the word "yet". :wink2:

Chris/Anthony O got your backs guys............................... :Qboy: ..............
.......................Okay GROUP BUY ON THE BUSINESS CARDS.......Sign up here. hehehehe. But on a serious note, Anthony and Chris have gone a very long way to get this forum up and running and I know that they are very PROUD and sometimes stubborn TO ASK. So I propose that we all help out these 2 fine gentlemen in achieving what WE ALL want to achieve in this forum..How much is a box set of these business cards..$50 maybe for a set of 300-500 maybe more...We can start off we say 1 boxe...say 10 people and helping out at 5.00 per person it'll be cool. 1 big mac combo wouldn't be a big sacrifice won't it. We all have great ideas for this forum and a lot of us do different things for promoting this forum..i.e Eric going up to whoever and telling them about us, pm others on different sites etc.. to run a forum like this does cost money and time, we are very fortunate that we are not levied to have membership fees and all that nonsense so why don't we all help out and pitch in here and there. I know that ADMINS are to proud for this which is a very galant virtue, but what the hell screw you guys I'm pitching in wether you like it or not for these cards....The more people sign up the more cards we get.

A simple e46toronoto.ca in blue or black writing on the card would be good. Simple but LOUD.

Sign here whoever wants to help out..

whats wrong with www.vistaprint.com

you get 200 cards for FREE!! all you pay is shipping ($8) i think, and you can design them however you want! they are legit business cards on good quality card stock.

at least its something to start with....we dont even have a logo to put on "good" cards :Idunno:

My vote for both flyers and cards with larger part of the budget on business cards.

Lets remember that we have a very specific target audience and we need to find places (online or not) where Bimmer enthusiasts especially E46 owners congregate (ie, clubs, car shows etc.). Also we are looking for the same enthusiasts who at very least use Internet.

Since I did not get flowers for posting threads about this site on other Bimmer forums, how about putting "e46toronto.ca" in our signature text or pictures similarly to Anthony's signature here:

http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41254

And when we visit other Bimmer sites, we will be indirectly promoting e46toronto.ca for FREE, like Anthony is doing for www.audophilia.com and e46toronto.ca sites.

AlexM520Sure why not. It's a great idea, as long as other admins don't tell us take it off. One of our members was already asked to remove the link on his sig... from another forum :thumbsdow Acutally, I'll give it a :thumbsdow :thumbsdow

Regarding flyers, Anthony & I have discussed flyers. Very cliche, not the professional look we like to present as e46toronto.ca but may use. We stress "may" in some occassions. And they do get costly.

Business cards defineley coming.

For the present, e46toronto.ca will be a flyer-free zone.

As Chris said, cards are coming...

Since you checked my thread, Alex, are you interesed in buying my tires?
