True, no OEM 16 inch will fit 330, front brake caliper is too large.

330's need 17" diameter wheels because of the large disc rotors and the clearance needed.

And dun buy wheels & tires from stealership! You can get the same thing just 1/2 the price from somewhere else

i've seen some other sites say that u can still go 16" but with only one type of tire. the italia type 5...or somethin like that....

I'm just stickin with 17" :)

really...im a little doubtful on that one....its the rotor that wont clear with a 16" rim...so the tire size is somewhat moot

my 17" rims barely clears my brake... so I don't think 16" will fit...
OEM rotor is 12.9" + about 1.5 - 2" extra for the caliper... it comes up to about 15"+ already...

Bravo Dieselgrl!

Yes, AT Italia Type 5 rims (16") will fit 330. If you want expert confirmation, take a look here and scroll to the bottom where Gary from TireRack confirms it. Plus I seen many posts over the years of people using this 16" rims on 330.

I have the OEM winter tire package (Pirelli tires and alloy rims) which I purchased from the dealership about 3 years ago for my 2001 330 Ci. They are in great condition with less than 7,000 km. I have an M3 on order and these won't fit, so the set is available for $1,000 firm.

No Jersey, you aren't wrong. Tire size is moot as you say. Now it has been clarified that we are talking about AT Italia rims, not tires.

I knew I read somewhere that there is one 16" that does fit but they are special order from the TireRack :Idunno:

Dieselgrl must be surfing other forms....Must be E46Fanatics. I was on that sight for a year before I bought the BMW.
