alcantra looks nice, when it's fresh.
Get day shots soon too Piro... BTW, your ride needs a detail. I see dust on your dash, and I saw a dust bunny hiding behind your gas pedal. :D

So how you gonna keep the Alcantra looking new. I hear that stuff wears quickly? It looks sexy as hell though.

All ZHP North American cars were/are shipped with red needle gauges? The new 2005's have lost the aclantra wheels (too many warranty claims) - perhaps BMW is using up parts and ran out of the red gauges? What is your redline set at?

The transmission is the same - you have a shorter throw shifter and different rear differential gearing - what your feeling is the gearing which delivers almost 10% more torque to the rear wheels in first gear... As per my earlier post re red needle gauges - What is your redline set at - it should be 6,800? There are things on your car that differ from the standard ZHP offering for 2005 and I'm trying to determine if the factory is starting to parts swap as inventories dwindle for e46's.
Thanks,
Db

Correct - but it's more than the body kit in Canada - It has the identical suspension setup, interior, wheels etc - only thing different is the exhaust tips, short throw shifter, guages (supposed to be different), rear diff and ~ 10 horsepower through cams and software.. I met a guy today at Bimmercruise with a coupe ZHP (2004) and for some reason his does not have the red needle guages either, however it is a ZHP and it red lines at over 6,500 rpm - it is the stock 330 instrument cluster however with red line @ 6,500? The instrument thing is spooky because I have seen lot's of ZHP's with the red needles...

that is correct, it is definitly not just the m-tech body kit.

I emailed BMW Canada regarding the red needles when I got mine and was told that only US models got them and we got white needles.

The ones in the Dealership in Newmarket had red needles and a 6,800rpm redline - that was early in 2004 when ZHP's first released - I've heard speculation it was some kind of MOT requirement to change them back based on the speedometer?. It must be a little unerving to see your tac go way past the redline before hitting the limiter (mine does and I 'm having trouble getting ussed to it)
