I was at the dealership today to get my "follow me home" activated and two of the shop guys were drooling over my car. So I ended up talking to the sales manager and he informs me that my car color (Sienna Red) was a limited production color, for the 2000 E46's only.
He informed me that you couldn't even order the car in this color. Only a few were produced and you had to just stumble upon on. He also told me that this is the first one he has seen. They never got any at their dealership in Sienna Red. At first I thought he was patronizing me, but after talking to a guy on fanatics who is the only other person I can find with a Sienna Red coupe, he told me the same thing. Seems to be the "forgotten color".
I like this seeing as though I hate having a belly-button car.
Needless to say I'm kinda happy today.
