i love the matte look of new bmw black montana leather. however, with only 2 months of daily driving and trying to be very careful getting in and out of my car, i can already see that the outside bolsters are gonna wear unevenly with rest of the driver's seat.
i really don't want to use any product that will remotely start to make the leather look shiny... anyone have any suggestions?

The BMW leather is prone to quick wear and tear, especially the bolsters. Make sure your passengers know how to enter, leave a car properly. Especialyl watch for buttons, jeans on those bolsters.
I use BMW leather car..I've used many other products including Danier LEather car but I like the BMW one. Have not tried Zaino though.
:D

how bad is it? i have get light scratches and it goes away with leather cleaner...I use the BMW leather cleaner. try to use it often cause it maintains the quality of your leather, plus this cleaner won't make your leather shiny. avoid the shiny stuff...the stuff at canadian tire will do this...it looks bad when you polish leather.
Race seat are much lighter. Better performance.

It would be nice with azz warmers and cooling vent fans like on the 5 and 7 series.

Another vote for BMW's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. Kill two birds in one, and in case you ever take up some leather defect with the dealer, you can say "hey, I was using YOUR stuff!".
Like when one of the M wheels started loosing clear coating last summer, they first suggested that I was using some overly aggressive wheel cleaner... After their parts department pulled up my history, full of BMW's wheel cleaner purchases, I got a new wheel in two days :)

I'd take M sport seats over the fancy comfort ones that blow up your arse any day :)

I'm using Meguiar's leather product, whatever it's called, and it seems to do the trick.

I used the MEguiar's leather spray but it was very messy and got on everything. THe gel cleaner versions are much easier to use and control.

So far I'm using the Maguier's wipes and I like them as you don't have to spray onto the surface, just wipe where you want. I've used them previously on my wifes leather (in her truck :blaaaa: ) and they seem to do a reasonable job.

The BMW one is the best so far in term of speed and maintenance.
I have tried and rank best to worst:
BMW Cleaner & Conditioner
Zaino Soft Spray Leather Cleaner & Leather in a Bottle
Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Cleaner & Conditioner
Eagle One Leather Cleaner & Conditioner
Zaino is pretty good, but too much work for marginal gains.
I heard Lexol is pretty good too. I'll try that next (after I finish Zaino and BMW cleaners).
