scratched the crap out of one rim trying to get off a tire!! dumb shts!

Manager said the tire and rim was too big for their machine!!! Had a good try and scraped the crap out of it before they figured it out...

Taking the rims to BMW tomorrow to get the enormous, unwieldy tires off!! Canadian Tire sending out the rim to be refinished!!!

I never go to the place, but needed the tires off quickly before the buyer got here. Figured Canadian Tire could remove 4 tires!!!

Oh my god that is the same **** that happened to my first rim. The dumb f*cks at Canadian Tires don't have the proper machine and they try to use some flat thing to get the tire out and slip and bam scratched rim. Never go to Canadian Tire to do anything, just go there to buy :p

Sorry to hear Anthony,

now get even with these people, go find all your empty chemical cans, used oil, propane bottles used pesticide in your house, and go drop/dump it off at Crappy tires.

I had similar experience at Costco. Just for unmounting was hell for them.

Wow what bad luck.

You should make them pay to refinish all 4 to look the same.

OUCH!! $123 for 4 tire removal?? Anthony, why didn't you PM me to ask where\what.. I've work as a Service Mgr in the carbiz for last 22 yrs...I could've referred you to my tire supplier whom does wheels with the "newer" plastic bar for alum rims..not a CTC steel rim corner garage machine... :thumbsdow

I know hindsight is always the worst after the fact..but next time feel free to ask me..that extents to other members also... happy to help\advise the crew at e46TO :)

Thanks, Peter. Will do.

My problem was timing. I had to have the tires off for my sale. Had only an hour to do it. CT were open. They are 17" rims; I believed they would not pose a problem.

I'm heading off to CT in a minute with the rim; I am going to ask they cover my BMW tire removal cost, too.

My main problem is that I really pissed at CT and BMW. I am a reg at Miss, and surprised they gouged my butt. Maybe I shouldn't be.

I'm heading in on Sat morning to get my indicator fixed for the thrird time! They are gonna see another side of me...the gouge destroyed my faith in them...my reg SA was amazing but he's moved to Maranello...

I'll keep you guys updated on the 'saga'!

Ask to meet with the Service Mgr, not just talk... state what happened and # of times you've been back for indicator..be aggressive, yet polite ( I get this daily in my job) make sure to emphasize "In the interest of customer service" No dealer wants to lose biz in service dept... work them...they can absorb much more then you or I. my 2 cents..

Canadian Tire Asst. Manager was very nice, co-operative and offered to refinish the rim and reimburse the BMW invoice.

I wonder if he can get back the 6 hours of time I lost. Maybe I'll invoice CT for 600.00:)

No. Broke again!

I am always very pleasant when I'm at Miss. My SA, now gone, has always been good to me. But after 123 for 4 tire removals, they are gonna hear from me. Nelly, who does the follow up calls, knows me well. She's great. But I'm really going to complain about the tires. I can see 30 minutes labour, but 123!!! Maybe they'll reinmburse me, too...:yak:

Just got the news. Brutal. At least your buyer understood that it wasnt your fault.

Dont sign ANYTHING at CT and get whatever they say they are going to do in writing, including sending your tire somewhere to be refinished. Make note of all the names of people you talk to.

Good luck.
