reset odometer each fill up
total trip odomoter = say 500km
you pump in 55 litres

so it's it's 100 km x 55 litres / 500 km = your mileage

or total km divide by how much litre you fill up to make it full will equal 1l/??km
but i normally let the on-board computer to the calculation :)

neither is the one in the audi.. it just takes your avg fuel consumption and multiplies by how many litres it thinks is left in the tank... yesterday cause it was helllla cold, it was prolly off. it said '0 km' remaining and i only filled up 51 litres.. of by 4 i think. well its a good estimate.. driving from Ottawa back home, it estimated i could get like 850 km on a tank. haha, i've seen it go past 1100 km/tank.. rofl

Believe me...when it gets down to below 20km...it gets pretty accurate. I got to "1 km remaining" once on the snake road cruise!! Pretty scary. :eek:

I got it down to 1km then blank out....car was running on fuel vapor.

I think my tank is 63liters

I pumped like 63.8 liters of fuel

lol.. oh, i guess the bimmer CPU is smarter.. audi moves in 10 km increments... so it goes from 20 to 10 to 0... but its totally fuel consumption based, because if u drive it hard, u can drop the 'km left' by 50 or 60..
