Hey guys, how do you remove salt from the carpet? I tried that Simoniz Salt & Stain remover, it took a little out.. but then a lot doesnt get wiped off. Should I buy that steam cleaner from Cdn Tire? Thanks!

I've had some luck with a 50% water/50% vinegar mix and a plastic dish scrubbie ... give that a shot if you can stand the fresh smell of vinegar in your car for a few hours ...

you have to do it numerous times and lots of scrubbing if it's really deep into the carpet.

I've tried the vinegar/scrub brush method before and it doesn't work nearly as well as my little green bissell machine (heated version). The bissell does a great job making carpets and mats look like new..

i had serious, hardened salt stains...nothing would get them out, at least to my satisfaction...christyles uses some mixture he concocts (of course he won't divulge the secret!)...it worked...

elbow grease and anything wet (preferrably with some cleaning components) has worked for me.
