btw, i know how much you guys are paranoid about your bimmers. i just wanted to add some clarification... it's not a female's nails that create the scratches on your door handles (nails are not strong enough to do that)...it's the rings that causes the problem. if you think about it, when they open the handle...it's their rings that touches your door panel. so watch out for those with the big *ss rings :P

LOL! i remember...we were talking about this y-day...But could be the nails too cause if you think about it, the average person would not put their whole hand to grasp the handle, only half the length of their finger would actually graps the handle before they pull to open. And rings sit on the half of the fingers that don't actually go behind the handle. I tried it last night when I got home...
We should do a survey, check out cars we know that are driven by females with and without rings. Same for males...see how many scratches are behind the handle. This is paranoia...
then again, I'm not exactly average or normal... :D

nope, i'm still convinced it's the ring...cause most people do put their hand all the way..so the ring touches the paint. i used to wear a ring on my left hand when i was driving my parent's car...then i noticed all these scratches...i couldn't explain it until i did the test. now, no rings on my left hand...but i'm always careful with the door handles anyway :)
