If you are interested put your name down and with suggestions on where to go. I have not gone in many many years, so I dont know what is the best place. Hopefully we can get a private event if we get enough ppl. Anyone know the best location, prices and such?? Any want to organize it.

Well I've never been to go karting myself so I don't know which one is better. But I am just giving an idea in terms of pricing so we can get people to join.

The full track layout is very good, easily 2 or maybe 3x bigger than the 401/427 place. Over a ¼ mile in length. woot

OK, I’ve talked to formula kartways. If we want a weekday is has to be a Thursday or Friday. Mondays are closed for league races. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are closed for private events. Note if you don’t have a membership you need to pay $5 to join.

Option 1. A private race or “Grand Prix”. It’s $95 for 60 laps. To me that is a little overkill for both the number of laps and the price. You will be sore after 40 laps and practically dead after 60 in my experience.

The 2nd option is a sprint race where you get 40 laps for $65 but you share the track with other drivers during the race.

Or we can just show up and pay $25 for each 20 lap session.

As for dates, if we want private there is Thursday, Dec 15th after 10pm or Friday the 16th after 8pm.

If we just show up there are a max of 14 karts on the track at once. He guy said we might have to wait 20min or more to get us all on at the same time.

Private / full track reservations happen during the public times. So they close the track to the public while the group runs then re-open it after the group run is done.

My suggestion is either a sprint race or we just show up for the “Arrive and Drive”. If we book a sprint we need to hurry because the time slots are almost full.

I went for a private day and it was awesome because there was no rush. I think we had 2 or 3 separate sessions (3 I'm pretty sure) and it was a nice relaxed pace. I would definately go for something like this even if it was $95.
I'd rather have our own day than mix it up with strangers...that way I can yell at the guys that get in my way!!!

Does anyone notice how the price per lap goes up with the more laps you buy? What the heck is that? Usually when you buy in bulk it becomes cheaper?

Not to be a xmas scrooge, but $95 is a little steep for an evening of fun imo. Granted, it would be a LOT of fun, but I would be more comfortable paying less!

this coming from the guy we almost had to kick off the track because he was the last one on doing laps and laps and laps and laps and laps????

trust me, when i went for the private day with 3 track sessions, it was great. It's not a long course, so a lap might take you 30-40 secs....
