Looking to see if anybody has a set or can point me in the direction to a set of window trim - gloss black finish for '00 323i (prefacelift). Must be in mint condition. [Window trim, door pillars, rear passenger door window pillars]
Willing to trade or buy. I currently have the matte black trim.

I'll keep it in mind then blown. Let me find the cost of the gloss black and I'll let you know how much I'll sell mine for.

Can't you just paint yours and put them back? If they are mate black already, then a quick sanding, a coat of gloss black and 2 coats of clear lacquer should do the trick. Heck, LAFENGAS could powder coat them for you.

I was thinking of getting them painted instead... but I am worried about overspray... if the car is not masked properly, you'll get overspray all along the edges, and it is difficult to remove overspray from edges & creases on the car. I'd prefer to have the trim completely removed from the car, prepped then painted...
Lafengas would be the man to do it, but he's not exactly from Toronto. :Idunno:

LAFENGAS has a DIY trim removal thread on fanatics. Remove the trims then either paint them yourself or have them painted for you.
Either way, even if you get new (or slightly new) trims, you still have to remove the old ones, so that labour is the same. The cost of getting them painted, kind of absorbs the cost of buying other trims, so you still break even, if not slightly ahead if you paint yourself.

Thanks Gr81, I'll look up that DIY and probably pull the trims myself. I don't want to paint without an HPLV gun.

I definently recommend painting it versus buying new trim (unless you can get the trim for under $200).. from the dealer it's $1000+
