I hear you, man. These heated seats get freakin' uncomfortably hot. I hardly use mine but my wife loves this feature.

I think we all have the same situation. GOlpar loves them but I heard that they can dry out the leather and they get my backside really warm. :)

I used heated seats a lot. Usually because roof is down even in 10 degree weather.

How is the leather holding up Reg?

It has wear on the side bolsters....but I don't think that is related to the heating. The flat parts are the heated parts, and those are still perfect, but I clean and condition the leather 1ce a month.

Well the wear on the side of the seat is caused by me not seating right on the flat portion of the seat when getting into the car. I think for sure you'll end up sitting on the side support first when you're getting into the car and for my seat that's the place that wore out the most right now.

YEah, the side bolsters are especially vulnerable to people sitting on them, etc. I am perfecting a method of getting into/out of the car which minimizes touching them. I am also advising frequent passengers of same of course :D

What's the method? First putting your right side of your a$$ on the flat portion of the seat first and then do a quick slide over? Heheh. There is no good way of getting in without sitting on the side bolsters :^o:

It's pretty much positioning your feet then gently falling into the middle of the seat without touching the sides. Getting out is tricky as you basically fall out of the car too. Not easy. maybe I should have gotten leatherette. :D

I would love seat warmers. I think in 3-4 years time I'll attempt the retrofit.

What level did you have it at :p
I have it at level 1 and turn it off when the seat is warm. Don't like the feeling of my ass getting warm up too much :D

hahaha...why? your ass can't handle the heat? i had it on at 2...then switched it to 1 after about 5 minutes. I like to warm it up fast...and then leave it on low heat. I actually turned on the heat for the first time today...I actually didn't know how to use it at first b/c everytime you push on auto, the AC comes on automatically! I gotta read the manual...

Your key remembers your last enviro setting. Turn everything to what you like and when you exit the car, it should remember it. I switch to my back-up keys everyone once in a while to recharge their batteries and the enviro setting always follows the keys. :)

I dont like using the warmers but on some cold winter days, you need them.

I don't have key memory...that was an extra option that i didn't go for. I think it's on the premium package tho, Rice.

you're funny...don't you know what features you have? ;) yes, the premium package comes with key memory where you can save your seat settings...as well as the heat settings. my seats are manual...not automatic...so i don't have that feature. have you used your key memory yet? you don't really need it cause you're the only driver....it's handy for cars with multiple drivers.

yes, the temperature setting for the car remains the same until you change it on your dial. i think it's only the heated seats that you can program in the key memory. is there a way to press "auto" without having it turn on the A/C?

No...my different keys have different temperature/climate settings depending on when i last used each (winter, spring, etc.). :)
