Good luck.
Ppl tend to hold on to these babies.
Best bet it is to keep your eye open on M3forum.com. They pop up every now and then over there.

With LMs, since they have a step lip, I would go 19".

i hear u on the step lip
i was thinking of puttin on my forgelines this spring but i need new tires and want to powder coat the rims since im not into the polished look..
for a little more i figure i might as well shop for a 'like new' set of LM with tires already mounted, avoid powdercoating, and regain some cash on the sale of the forgelines
every1 plz keep a close watch out for me thanks

A little OT, but I had a few PMs about ppl asking me why I said not to get RS-GTs. I was just joking, I have them. They are both beautifully crafted wheels.

how r the 19s for street use?

Ask Glen,he knows Montreal roads better then I.
I personally don't have a problem with them, but Tdot roads are better then roads in Montreal I have been told.

any 19 will be bent if you hit a pothole...so I would say no different than any other wheel. Rims are forged, so they are pretty strong, but you can't beat physics and any hard hit will bend any rim.
Any 19 will be harder on the bumpy roads than a 18, so that is something you will have to live with or else get 18's. I've been in Montreal on them and I would say they are no different than any other 19 including my OEM's.

hwys are fine.. they are federal
if regular roads have cracks and potholes, not the end of the world since they can usually be avoided based simply on speed
it's the service roads that kill.. horrible condition and hard to avoid, especially at night, thanks to speed

If the rims on roadfly are in mint condition, then it might not be a bad deal.
Do they make LMs in 20" application for the M3?

Peeling is a big issue, I would pass on those, especially at that price.
Diesel Dud
02-05-2006, 09:38 PM
ya only way i would put those on is after a major powerdercoating facelift, which makes the asking price way too high
what the hell did the guy subject the rims to get that result.. i mean i highly doubt the finish is crappy enough to peel like that
