when you get pulled over by an undercover cop car? Would you ask him for his ID and badge number and stuff like that first before doing anything? I mean what if he's not a real cop and he's just some fake trying to jack your car? Yes I'm bored and have nothing better to think about :p

i would call 911 and verify it first...
cuz all cops should report to the central station first... i guess...

911 would be able to verify the badge number. If he has a gun though, he can have the car, that's why we have insurance. In the end, it's just a car.

Yeah, I'd be careful. Insurance will cover car jackings anyways. HE should show you his badge for sure if he is not in uniform.

I heard if you continue driving at a slow steady pace while with the hazard on and make a call to police station to confirm officer vehicle in the area, you should be fine.

Police uniform is easy to come by, no? I don't know man, just hearing all these horror stories of how fake cops are pulling people over in asia to rob, rape and other sh*t like that makes me think that one day sh*t like that is going to happen here too.

You can be arrested for impersonating an officer.

An "undercover" car can come in a number of shapes and sizes. The only car that should be pulling you over under normal circumstances is a ghost traffic car, which should be a Impala, Vic or Intrepid. Those should have strobes in each front corner lense plus some type of front end red alternating lights (either in the windshield or front grille).

If it is ANYTHING else (other than a fully marked car of course) that looks like a regular car, the officer should be displaying his badge while you are still in motion and it should only be for something really unintelligent (like reckless driving). Then, when you pull over, you should leave your windows up, doors locked, car in drive until you see a valid badge and warrant card. There MUST be a proper photo ID to go with a badge, plus the badge number and photo ID must match.

Just don't be ignorant to the officer when he does approach - remember they are as nervous as you are coming up to a total unknown. The officer could think your car is stolen - you never know.
