the remote mod is pretty straight forward. replace the harness with the new one, and connect the wire to the footwell lighting...
Jersey can probably do everything in less than 20 mins now... :0

Hey- I had the interior "xenon"-lights on my old E36 but I thought it may be too stark looking for my E46. How are you liking your new interior lights? NOt too cold?

I was just kidding...just be VERY careful with the rings when closing the headlight up again. I lost two rings on the re-sealing of the lamp unit. :)

Lots of 'experts' deride Steve Dinan's work as costing too much money for too little return. Other than the warranty issues that are leveraged into the price, the power handling is so smooth and the sound so classy, the 'system' really does add a lot of value to the drive of the car...

After a quick drive of Ron's ride, I would definitely recommend Dinan's kit. Sam's 3 and X5 rides were jaw dropping, too. Three different rides, and three winners!

I too was in the same boat Chris. But after thinking about how much money I paid for my car. I had to choose something that's tried & tested since I'm not as talented in the garage as some ppl are on this forum..sure it did cost me serious $$$ but I'm happy & satisfied w/the outcome. Now in saying this.. I don't mean that it's the way to go. There's a lot of paths that you can take on the modding route. Choose what your comfortable with. A lot of DIY individuals derive enjoyment & pleasure getting their hands dirty modding their pride & joy. We're blessed that we know ppl like these on the board who can be a source of knowledge. I envy these ppl I wish I was 1 of them. Just my .02

I think I have mentioned this before -- we are letting the board 'run' for a month or so. A little OT is okay with us for now.

I guess if you know some in mechanic field like me then it's ok to mod without warranty. Some of the mod we have can still be under warranty. If not we can replace OEM anyway. :)
