Hi guys,
I'm planning to put Breyton Magic 19's on this car, do I need to install a coilover? Can the BMW OEM sport suspension still be used? Thanks in advance

Just an fyi ....
Magic are nice looking but they are heavy. The ones in 18x8.5 are listed at 28lbs. 19" probably over 30lbs for sure.

changing rims/tires do not require changing suspension, most people change suspension to reduce the wheel gap (aka the 4x4 look)
the OEM suspension can definitely be used
Alex is right too, magics are kind of heavy... if you are performance oriented, you might think twice about it...

Thanks for the insights guys =) So which wheel do you recommend? I think i'm just gonna use the OEM sport suspension.

BBS wheels are light
lotsa people here, including myself, have BBS CH's... they are the cheapest in the BBS family and are pretty light for 19s
how much do you want to spend?

Actually I'm a little bit stingy on spending my money on rims honestly :Qboy: Because these nice rims are gonna get chipped and scratched either intentionally or not. But anyways, what do you think about Hamann or HREs? Any suggestion? The first thing why I was considering the Breytons are because they are made specifically for BMWs ... "plug and play" :nerd:

actually, there are many wheels for BMWs that are "plug and play"
you really dont need to worry about that... actually, any wheel u get SHOULD be plug and play.. u dont want to modify your wheels in anyway
HRE, Hamann, ACS, certain BBS will all cost a lot of money
the best price wheels are the Hartge Classics, BBS CH and the Hamann HM2 - those all fit e46s perfect
the acs start getting real pricey... if your stingy, forget about HRE.. those are very very expensive.

Not sure about your budget, but for something affordable with very good quality, on a lighter side, check out Ronal wheels. They are not in the same "bling bling" or $$$ category as the ones you mentioned, just something to consider:
LV Spider (you can order them locally)

If you want nice, expensive brand (BBS, Hamman, OZ etc) AND you are not in a hurry, just keep checking for sale section on this and other local forums. Last year all used rims even in good condition, normally sold for 50-60% of retail prices.
