Hi Everybody

Kensai Racing and CANTDRV2 Motor Group organizes an lapping days through out the year at Mosport Road Course on April 28th, June 19th, July 3rd, August 7th and September 4th. We welcome intermediate and advance driver to participate.
The structure is simple, an Intermediate Group and an Advance Group. We are limited to 30 cars per group. Each group in on track alternatively for 25 minutes. There is a 5 minutes separation between groups for vehicles recovery. Passing Signals are mandatory for all groups. Passing Zones for Intermediate are front straight, back straight and between corner 3 and 4. Passing is allow anywhere in the Advance Group. When passing signals are given and respected, passing in a corner can be done safely.
Helmet is mandatory for driver and passenger. If you are interested join us and please fill up the attachment and fax it back to 416-752-4950. Fee is $300 per car and $150 for each additional driver for full day event of each event.

It was run as well as anything else I've been to, they had corner workers and track marshals out, we had 2 groups (noobs and pro), each group had a timed period on the track, then second group was called.

I'd go with em again in a heartbeat :thumbsup:

Lets go man!!!!! You can do it. EA event is too steep for me at $500. I need a buddy to go with. Im trying to convince Cabrio too.

Bear in mind this event does not have instructor.

But this is coming from a guy which have limited experience on mosport.

cabio@ I recalled there was a Z3 there last year, so I believe cabs is allowed.

My GF is thinking of getting a SLK270, thats why I asked, but I think it might be to much for her in the winter, she has a Mini now.

Last time I went we were there for a full day, not splitting the track with anyone. Also, UCR's only Mosport event in April is on the 22nd, while Kensai's is on the 28th.

trying to get a feel for it. anyone driven there b4? i'm trying to figure out the best places for downshifts. i'm thinking corners 5 and 9.
5 looks like an awesome bend! (cutting the apex on a slope at 5b, then gunning into the straight!!!)

I'm far from experienced track driver, but I've been to Mosport 2 times now (both times with experienced guys showing me the lines), so I'll gladly take anyone for a ride and give a feel for the track before you head out on your own.

It's a very smooth and very fast track, definitely an exhilarating experience (as long as you keep the shiny side up and on the ashpalt :p )

me too, I told Billy we are hitting the track on Friday, he said he will do his best and thinks that it can be done. Im gonna have to take it easy though with all the new goodies.

From 401/Bayview area it took me about 1 hour yesterday, I left TO at 7 and was there by 8. At that early hour traffic going out of Toronto is very light :)

it's repairable, but didn't look too pretty. it was on the bottom of Turn #4, collided with a wall on the right side, but the damage was on the driver-side of the car... must have spun out real bad? maybe braked in the turn.

peter you were driving behind him at the time right???

Turn 4 is one of the worst places to lose it. It is a very high speed section of the track and a little tricky. Most pros do not brake here but almost everyone else has to, and if you forget to brake before the left hander you are in big shiet because the track also drops mid corner. Lifting mid corner here if you are too hot is also very bad. You are going so fast that it's almost impossible to catch a mistake. :sick:

That's the M5 in the pic.You can't imagine how bad I want to got to Mosport. I have not been there in over a year. Once I have new wheels and tires so I can properly use my brakes I’ll go to the next event held there.
