the high polish seems a little too blingy for me at first... I thought the high polish would be something like the 19" m3 rims...

what you think? :)

I will make more pics tomorrow?

hmmm... I might have to do something to reduce the blingy-ness of the rims. Any ideas? I hope maybe the polish finish will wear off a bit over time making it less blingy in the end.

it's not likely the finish will wear down enough to make them less polished. just don't wash your rims!

I love the way your rims look in the last picture. drool That pic should be your new sig.

I don't mind that style of rim in a high polish finish. Such a change from the day I met you in the Canadian Tire parking lot a year ago.

I personally don't like the bling bling chrome look either...

Sam's M3 have high polish HREs and they look great and it didn't look anywhere as bright as mine. Thats why I went with the high polish.

I really hope they'll dull out over time otherwise I really have take them somewhere to get re-finished.

Sam's HREs got oxidized, and I dont think the guy who details the car billet polish the "polished" finish everytime he washes the car. That's why it doesn't look as shiny as yours. Don't worry, if you don't billet polish your rims, it's gonna get oxidized (not as shiny). ;)

Thanks... I feel a lot better now lol. I never thought I'd be looking forward to oxidation hahaha.

Oh... trust me, in no time the polish finish will get oxidize if u don't clean/billet polish/wax the rims regularly, especially if ure running OEM pads. :crying:

clean the wheels and put on a coat of wheel wax, should make it a lot easier to clean

Would wax reduce the shiny-ness?

wheel wax shouldnt make it shinier, just protecting it from messing up the finish. I wouldnt mess up the finish just to make it look LESS shiny, thats like putting 89 octane in and saying my car is too smooth. If you want the M3 look maybe look into two toning your wheels, The 19" M3 whels are half painted inside the spokes.

If you are still not impressed with the "Bling" Derek, as previously mentioned the following would be my first choice for refinishing them.
