Sorry...dim sum is basically chinese brunch. depending on the restaurant, waiters/waitresses usually push these little carts around with food containing stuff like dumplings, buns, etc and you get to pick what you want to eat off of a cart. other restaurants also offer made-to-order dim sum where you can just order off the menu. sorry if my explanation sucks...

For those who have never had dim sum, depends on your taste buds it may take a bit of a learning curve.

I remember when I first introduced dim sum and sushi to my wife she only ate the "safe" stuff. Then she learned quickly to eat first and then ask. Once you've had it you'd say to yourself "it ain't so bad".

Now my wife can't do without either.

We'll be nice to the beginners...no chicken feet or duck tongues. :yak:

Since the reservation is at 10:00am, is the kitchen already open? I know some restaurants don't open the kitchen till 10:30 and the actual good dim sum doesn't come out till a good while later.

I came there before around 10am so ya kitchen is open.....also with the reservation, the cooks got early warning that a lot of hungry stomach will need to be fiesting

Although the weather s*****, we had a great time with everyone. It was good to finally meet Glenspeed, Alex, Cabrio and IanS.

That dim sum place was really good and we confused a lot of those ppl trying to get parking. They thought we were leaving coz we were standing around our cars.. Coffee and dessert was great too!

We'll do another dim sum meet! Love dim sum!

I second it, great meet. It was nice meeting all of you. It's great to put "a face" next to a board handle and to meet a group passionate about our (E46) Bimmers.
Sorry I could not join you afterwards, I had plans to meet a couple of friends at the autoshow and then we walked over to the Photo & Digital Imaging show by Henry's. The autoshow was okay; no specific theme or anything and size wise small compared to February autoshow downtown (naturally). The photo show was good that you can tryout all cameras (we did not attend seminars). I will definetely come out to future meets.

I still feel bad for that guy trying to park his SUV when we were all standing right around the spot. Talk about major pressure with having 10-15 people stare at him while he was inching in!! I am surprised he didnt hit that Volvo, although he got awfully close that's for sure.

i would hate to see what would happen if that volvo was one of our cars...if it was eric's...he'd probably roll on the ground and cry ...hahaha...j/k i felt bad we were all staring at him...especially having a bunch of hard core drivers like us watch his every move.

steel gray is a beautiful colour...as is black. i think my second colour of choice after orient blue would have to be steel gray...it's unique to bmw.

Those cars on your links looked sick. Jet Black is insane to keep clean but when you need it to look AWESOME (as opposed to just good), it can with simply a good washing. :)

lol... those dam tears....its because the floor mat got wet and I decided to also clean the dash, doors, gear area..well basically the inside front....

I have a rain solution for Eric .... portable EZ UP Canopy and will fit in the trunk :) :) . Plus, can be re-used at track events :thumbsup: .
