Here is a message with a huge 800 x 600 px image attached. - THE IMAGE WAS DELETED AS IT WAS HUGE....

It's the file size that counts.

Less than 42k...

Hi Chris,
Anthony wanted to put up a file (800 x 600) and it wouldn't display it for him (only the link). If images are larger than 42K they will 1) Slow down the sytem 2) Chew up Bandwidth/Web Space... I suggest the forum be left the way it is.. users can compress images so that these images be reduced to under 42K file size.(using photoshop or the like)

Maybe there shold be a sectiion or DIY on how to shrink your images on Photoshop.

Its very simple - when saving a file (in photoshop) save as .jpg At this point photoshop JPEG options display with slider for Quality - see this image below (HA HA) file size/time to load is displayed at bottom slide up/down to desired image size. File compression for JPGs anyways.

oh, and this probably the simpler way which i didn't know know til now. :D

Great Trudy. Thanks...I like it as is. If people complain, there are lots of alternatives. Any more snide comments, and I'll direct them straight to this thread.
