Will M3 brake rotors/cap fit on 330 sedan, and if so will 17" OEMs clear fitment?

STALKER

17" rims will clear, but they won't fit your car from what i have read over at e46 fanatics, I think that might be your best place to find out the final answer.

BlueSky

it might be possible.. but you might need to modify your hub and bracket to fit...

IMO it won't give u much improvement...
if you want better stopping power... get some slotted rotor/better pads/ss lines/DOT4 or 5 brake fluid...
if you want less fade... then go for BBK... ;)

Hmm... I saw someone on fanatics selling Brembo BBKs for 330i for $2000US. Is this a fair price? How much are they new??

If you ask me why I'm looking to change brakes, it's merely for the wow factor....haha

What size, I paid $2600 for my Brembos, and that was for the 355mm kit for the M3. Try contacting Sam@Rennsport, and tell him you were reffered by Pej, witht he M3 from Toronto.

If you just want it for bling factor, then get Stoptechs, they are just as good as Brembos, but they are generally a little cheaper unless you have a hook up.

BlueSky

yes.. it is too much for a used 12.6" kit...
it's even high for a new set...

u can get a 13.1" Stoptech kit for $1999USD...

Thanks for the feedback guys. Where should I go to if I'm looking for Brembo BBKs then? I want to make sure it will fit my 17" OEM winter wheels though.

BTW....for those for got BBKs installed, any problems during winter driving??

if you are looking for Brembo BBKs... contact Sam@Rennsport
they've got the best price around...

BBK should be weather friendly...

and u will need 10-15mm spacers to clear your 17" OEM rims...

Those are just the fronts, including shipping, mine actually came out to $2800 because I had them custom painted Topaz Blue to match the car. The rears have been odered, I just got the upgraded caliper and euro rotor for the rear, didnt feel it was necessary to get the big 13.6 out back, plus this route will do just fine and its half the price. Im not sure, if Sam gives that price to everyone, Im specia, lol, but I can get it for you at that price through Sam.

I don't think you can get it out of your system. Eric continues to mod and he is married already. He's lucky, I like modded cars so he has the green light to do it. Between the two of us, he is the one that holds back and I have to sometimes even push / persuade him to go ahead and get them. The only condition is that we have to both agree with whatever mod we put in the car. :)

That would be a very dangerous (and expensive) situation if my wife ever pushed me to do mods! :0

You should also have a say in house mods that you dont agree it looks good. It's only fair according to your conditions. :D

if you leave the rear stock... i suggest changing the pads to the same brand...

compared to the Axxis', stock pads will have better initial bite and probably require slightly less pedal so the rear was probably grabbing better, however the Axxis will have less overall fade once you start heating the brakes up. This initial bite is probably the weird feeling you got when you first apply the brakes.

The H&R's will get me through to spring the way they are now so I can live with it. It wouldn't make any sense now seeing as we are going into winter to redo the suspension again with a new one. Besides, I don't have the mod $$$ like you buddy!
The rear spring perches actually cracked (very common I am told) when the installer was adjusting the height, so they have ordered new ones in. I will probably just reset the ride height a little higher when those get replaced and do another alignment. It should be ok until the spring. It's actually not too bad right now after the last alignment. I think even though the 2nd alignment was on spec, the M3 is so sensitive to minor alignment changes that it has to be spot on to be right. or maybe I am just too damn demanding???
