View Full Version : Center Pipe
I want to put more sound in my exhaust and saw this center pipe. I'll get more flow and sound from my stock exhaust?
E46 Supersprint Center Pipe
Part #: 786313
Applications: 1999 - 2000 323, 328 (E46)
E46 323, 328 Supersprint Rear Pipe (alternative to SS rear resonator #786303)
Thanks for your help

yes it removes the resonator and its also known as a sound pipe....it will add sound and flow to your exhaust
I don't think it will flow that much better. Your stock is still 2 1/2 inches. It will sound better I guess.

That's just a hollow pipe, right? Or is it one of those free flow resonators?
If you still have a stock muffler, you'll get very little additional sound. The stock muffler does a very good job of muffling the sound. Those Germans know what they're doing.
If you want to experiment, it will be way cheaper for you to go to a muffler shop, have them cut off the resonator (the one close to the muffler) and replace it with a straight pipe. Ask for stainless pipe so it will last as long as the rest of the exhaust pipes. If you plan on getting an aftermarket muffler later, make sure they cut just below the axle 'cause that's the right point to hook up most aftermarket mufflers. You don't want too many extra welds down there. PM me on Friday if you want a pic.
If you already have an aftermarket muffler then you must already have the cut done at the right spot. You just tell the muffler shop to replace the resonator up to the muffler connection so you avoid the extra welds.
I have a center pipe for you FSO. When I bought my TSE2 I have a center pipe never been used. Let me know if you are interested. :)
Yeah. I'm interested. :oh_oh:
Thanks Jersey, Quicked and M002.
