I know, I know...it's way early to post.
I say first warm day in May, we do a group brake install -- it will be a 'stealth-free' environment. Everybody will be welcome, especially experts...:D Playhouse A and Playhouse B (with an expert at each location)?woot
We hope to get a big brake kit GB going from Cross (don't bug the poor man, we are working on it now), or maybe you'd like to change standard brakes on your ride. Gotta be better that 8 bills at the stealer:eek:
There are some threads on other forums...i'll post them later tonite...from what I remember, the guys say it's pretty easy and the parts/no labour make it so much cheaper. They also say it's fun. Tools/jacks are pretty plentiful, too.
Just something to think about. We won't post a list yet;)
Please add your ideas and expertise in this thread. We can keep this sucka going all winter...:)

change your brakes when you need to...it really depends on how hard you brake, if you track the car, etc. there's no set time.
brake fluid should be changed 1x year minimum, more if you track the car. I had fresh fluid not more than 3 weeks old and I changed my fluid because I had tracked the car and boiled it.

Yup, tracking your car has got to be the hardest time for the brake system esp. the brake fluid.
DIY pad's :D The links you posted Anthony were great.
Jeff, with all your mods on your ride..I would have thought you could do brakes in your sleep.. :D

Did my front brakes.
Running Brembo and PBR in the front. It's a breeze if you have the tools for complication situation
Dealer said at 55000km I needed new brakes all around....thieves
if you drive normally, should last 55000-85000km.....check the brake reservoir and never never top up the brake fluid reservoir....when it's near low....time to take a close look at those pads.
Pads tends to outlast the rotors for some reason.

Wow.. are you sure you use the brakes.. :) j/k...
Changed by first set of front brakes/rotors at 32K and 2nd set in July this year at about 65K. Back brakes lasted till 45K i think.

I don't remember the last time my brake fluid was checked. Hey Oyster, would it be trouble to take a peek on Sunday dimsum meet? Please.

early rotor replacement means =>>> heavy foot braking.....last moment jamming the brake, i.e track condition, driven like you stole it.....
yes Chris, I'll have a look sunday or friday night

"uh please check my brakes because there is this funny vibration coming from them and I don't know why.." is my usual MO :}:

heyhey....I stop on impact woot ........my car brakes only when it feels like it, the driver rarely push the brake pedal.
My wear is due to drifting each corner light and jamming the brakes from over 200km to 100km.......hum when I smell oink oink
