I'll be dropping by Kennedy HiFi on wednesday to speak to Alan to get my I.C.E.. system sorted out, and I am interested in adding an Mp3 player - non-ipod/i-whatever to the car. So need Blitzsafe Aux input.

Anybody else here interested in picking one up. I'll talk him down...

Anyone else.

There are 2 type of Blitzsafe adapters. One allows a aftermarket CD changer and a AUX input. One is strictly a AUX input. Both use the existing CD changer cables that are in the back of the trunk.

All your steering wheel controls are fully functional. All your ipod/MP3 player controls are fully functional. You just press CD on your OEM deck till you see CD 1-99 on the display. Turn on your player to a preset volume that sends out a high enough signal to the Blitzsafe. I set my cheap mp3 player (<$120) to a volume of 20 out of 30. Then I do any other volume adjustments from the steering wheel controls or the deck.

Items you will need:

Blitzsafe adapter (AUX or CD/AUX)
2 RCA male plug to stereo mini jack plug.
mini jack plug extension 15ft - 25ft

Diesrlgirl >> you can plug a walkman, discman, mini-disc, 8 track tape deck, maybe a microphone and sing karaoke too...

very easy install, take 15-30 minutes to install

in conjonction with the aux input, you might want to consider the rear-view mirror mod (lcd screen built into the rear view mirror - that I saw at Kromer), you can read the lyrics, sing in the microphone and....

for the Blitzsafe adapter (CD/AUX), does that mean I can use both CD Changer & AUX? how does that work???

You can NOT use the OEM cd changer though. It must be a aftermarket changer. You can use both the Aux and changer just by hitting the CD button on the radio.

No, you can sell the soundgate. The blitzsafe will replace that adapter and have the aux built in. Make sure to ask Alan which blitzsafe to get. I think there is one specifically for the alpine and one for other manufacturers.
